I have chin length hair and I'm looking for any tips on a protective style. My go to styles are two French braids on either side of my head and half up with a clip.

Does anyone have any other suggestions?

Sorry if there's an article about this already, I searched but didn't find one

Thanks!

When my hair was last at shoulder length (and a bit shorter) I mostly wore a bandana to keep it out of my face and a bit more off my neck. Lots of things you could do with tying bandanas/scarves over your hair and it would certainly be protective.

I can't remember what length it was at but I think it was around shoulder that I would roll my hair from the sides adding hair until the nape was reached and then any extra length was tucked behind the roll and each side was held in place with a hair comb. Sort of a modified Gibson Roll/Tuck for shorter hair. It takes some practice to position the combs.

I am so lurking this thread, my hair is shoulder length so I keep trying to find new ways to keep it tucked so that I am not causing breakage and week points. Thank you for starting this thread!
