New ombre blue and purple dye job (lots of pics)

Hello, fellow long hairs!

On Thursday night, I dyed my previously ombre hair. Half purple, half blue.

I've never done half and half before nor have I ever done purple. I really like the way it came out so of course I wanted to share it with you!

Amanah, I think the dyes would be bright and beautiful on the salt and barely there on the pepper. It would look like you had highlights!

palebluelantern, I haven't experimented much with cool toned hair colors but I think you're right. I normally do warm tones like this:

But I have really enjoyed the newness of the blue and purple.

I really love these dyes. I have to order them on online because they are not available in my area. Manic Panic and the other dyes I have used before tend to bleed more, especially if my hair was wet. I was tired of finding colorful marks on the wall, the couch, my clothes, etc. Special Effects doesn't have that effect with my hair and it stays bright longer too! I can't speak highly enough. (Not sure if they are so awesome for everybody but they are so awesome for me.)

Your hair looks sooo good! I'm slightly jealous haha. I've always wanted colors like this in my hair, but it's hard to match a cool color with strawberry blonde-ish colored hair. However, when I was 11 or 12 I did dye the underneath of my hair purple and I think it looked okay... Well anyways, these colors look amazing on you! :)

I love it! It makes me want to have some fun with my growing out bleach but I'm too afraid of it staining my virgin roots (dark blonde) as I had problems previously with Manic Panic reds and pinks staining my natural colour.

Oh my god, I LOOOOVE it! I wish I could do that but there's no way my fine hair could handle the bleach. I am considering cutting my fringe back (I grew it out this past year) and dying it purple, but I doubt I'll have the courage.

I love the idea several of you have mentioned of the opposite-ombre look for hair that is silvering. Can't wait to see it on ya'll!

palaeoqueen, Manic Panic has also had that bleeding problem for me. I can't promise Special Effects wouldn't have the same effect but it doesn't for me. You might give it a try.

dwell_in_safety, I get that a lot. In fact, I've met my "twin" before. We went to the same summer camp. It was like that Hayley Mill's movie, The Parent Trap. :)
