Ok so I posted some questions yesterday on vitamins and regimens that are good to follow and I did get a load of good info... now I'm trying to narrow down which is the best tried and true hair vitamin... I'm reading reviews on some different ones I've heard about but not sure if "reviews" are really credible on the internet so hence the reason I'm seeking out responses from the best sources.. .you all :D
So I've read the Bargello's Vitamin Regimen found here:
http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=83
...and do want to follow it for the most part just not in the same dosages... I read up on the igorsbelltower blog found here:
http://igorsbelltower.blogspot.com/p/infamous-biotin-rant.html
...in response as well so I do want to go about this the best... I have definitely decided that although I eat healthy and take care of my hair I do want to add in this new vitamin regimen considering how our bodies do not always retain the good nutrients we are getting through our food.
So the hair vitamins I've been trying to decide between are the following: (if there are any that you recommend other than these please do tell ;) )
Hairfinity: http://www.hairfinity.com/SecretsforFasterHairGrowth.htm
GNC Ultra Nourishair: http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2133888
Nature's Plus Ultra Hair Plus: http://www.evitamins.com/ultra-hair-plus-sustained-natures-plus-877
Hair Formula 37: http://www.hairformula37.com/besthairvitamin.htm/
Also which is a really good protein brand for protein drinks? I never use this so I don't know what the important differences may be among the brands... ie: calories, quality,etc.. also Bargello's recommends at least 22 gr. of protein... is that good? I'm very petite only 4'10 so I don't know how much I should take.
Now in Bargello's regimen it states all the different vitamins they take but says they take an additional amount of the same vitamins... ie: "Ultra Nourishair contains 500mg of MSM, I take an additional 1000md/day." It says that about a few of them. My question is are they taking a different brand to make up for the additional mg's or taking the same hair vitamin but more than the recommended dose?
What I'm wanting to start is something like this:
Multi Vitamin: (not sure which brand to use)
A hair vitamin: (not sure which brand to use)
MSM: (not sure which brand to use)
Omega 3: (not sure which brand to use)
Omega 6: (not sure which brand to use)
Silica: (not sure which brand to use)
protein drink: (not sure which brand to use)
evening primrose: (not sure which brand to use)
L-Arginine: (not sure if I should include)
Calcium: (not sure which brand to use)
Flaxseed Oil: (not sure which brand to use)
And anything else that I should include
Again I'm only 4'10 too :p
I hope I can figure this all out as easy as possible and quickly too... I'm a busy lil' mama... 5 kids!
thank you as always LHC
