Ok so I posted some questions yesterday on vitamins and regimens that are good to follow and I did get a load of good info... now I'm trying to narrow down which is the best tried and true hair vitamin... I'm reading reviews on some different ones I've heard about but not sure if "reviews" are really credible on the internet so hence the reason I'm seeking out responses from the best sources.. .you all :D

So I've read the Bargello's Vitamin Regimen found here:

http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=83

...and do want to follow it for the most part just not in the same dosages... I read up on the igorsbelltower blog found here:

http://igorsbelltower.blogspot.com/p/infamous-biotin-rant.html

...in response as well so I do want to go about this the best... I have definitely decided that although I eat healthy and take care of my hair I do want to add in this new vitamin regimen considering how our bodies do not always retain the good nutrients we are getting through our food.
So the hair vitamins I've been trying to decide between are the following: (if there are any that you recommend other than these please do tell ;) )

Hairfinity: http://www.hairfinity.com/SecretsforFasterHairGrowth.htm

GNC Ultra Nourishair: http://www.gnc.com/product/index.jsp?productId=2133888

Nature's Plus Ultra Hair Plus: http://www.evitamins.com/ultra-hair-plus-sustained-natures-plus-877

Hair Formula 37: http://www.hairformula37.com/besthairvitamin.htm/

Also which is a really good protein brand for protein drinks? I never use this so I don't know what the important differences may be among the brands... ie: calories, quality,etc.. also Bargello's recommends at least 22 gr. of protein... is that good? I'm very petite only 4'10 so I don't know how much I should take.

Now in Bargello's regimen it states all the different vitamins they take but says they take an additional amount of the same vitamins... ie: "Ultra Nourishair contains 500mg of MSM, I take an additional 1000md/day." It says that about a few of them. My question is are they taking a different brand to make up for the additional mg's or taking the same hair vitamin but more than the recommended dose?

What I'm wanting to start is something like this:

Multi Vitamin: (not sure which brand to use)
A hair vitamin: (not sure which brand to use)
MSM: (not sure which brand to use)
Omega 3: (not sure which brand to use)
Omega 6: (not sure which brand to use)
Silica: (not sure which brand to use)
protein drink: (not sure which brand to use)
evening primrose: (not sure which brand to use)
L-Arginine: (not sure if I should include)
Calcium: (not sure which brand to use)
Flaxseed Oil: (not sure which brand to use)

And anything else that I should include

Again I'm only 4'10 too :p

I hope I can figure this all out as easy as possible and quickly too... I'm a busy lil' mama... 5 kids!

thank you as always LHC

just a warning: taking too much calcium can cause kidney stones. i think just a regular multivitamin should be fine, unless you're deficient in something, loading your body up with all kinds of supplements isn't going to be too great for your organs, they have to break down and sort through all that stuff you know. particularly your liver and kidneys. i'd start out with

a good multivitamin: naturemade and centrum are pretty popular, i've taken some by both and they've worked sufficiently well for me. they also have some that are designed specifically for women that includes extra calcium and vitamin d compared to the other formulations (which is why you probably won't need an extra calcium supplement, unless you have family history of osteoporosis or *need* the extra calcium)

you can try msm, i've taken it on and off, i use the naturemade brand (simply because i can find it at walmart)

omega 3: i use whatever is in our cabinet. i just take one a day, but make sure you take it with food to prevent fishy after taste (gross)

protein drink: i use jillian michaels' protein powder. it's also at walmart. i like it because it doesn't have tons of sugar. just make sure you drink lots of water, particularly if you're wanting to go high protein diet, since it can cause kidney damage if you don't keep up with the water.

hair vitamin: in my experience it's much like a regular vitamin but maybe with extra biotin in it. biotin is usually readily available in our bodies and most people don't need extra. if you get your b vitamins out of balance it can make you break out. it caused breakouts for me, so i stopped taking it. so i personally don't take hair vitamins. i haven't tried any of the ones you have mentioned, though.

i don't know about the other things, sorry.

eta: from the internet, i've heard protein intake depends on your body weight and whether you work out a lot or not. maybe try looking up on google, 22 g of protein a day shouldn't be too much. i think i'm *supposed* to get around 50 or 60.
