I just bought this new soap from Walmart. It smells wonderful, and I don't see anything in the ingredients that could be bad for my hair... but I just wanted to be safe than sorry.

Soap is fine for the hair. However, it has a high pH, so be sure to do an acidic rinse afterwards. (like a spoonful of vinegar or lemon juice in a cup of water)

I imagine the Titanium dioxide will build up. Looks like it might be quite drying. I wouldn't use it in my hair, but others will have a better idea, I'm sure.

Sodium cocoate is basically just coconut oil, and seems to be the only oil used in this bar, with added fragrances and other additives. Plain ole coconut oil soap can be really drying, and I don't think the added Titanium Dioxide would help much, either (an example, the few instances when i use TD in my soaps, I usually add a little bit of extra EVOO to bump the moisture-up a bit for superfatting). Personally, I wouldn't be using this on my hair. Whilst it looks like a decent bar of soap (bar the questionable fragrances and colours), it doesn't look like it'd be a particularly moisturising bar, certainly not something I would let anywhere near my hair...

I'm sure it smells lovely! However, it would probably be quite drying. It also contains animal fat [usually bovine] as the first ingredient.

If you have a Walgreen's in your area, you might be interested in One Natural Solid Shampoo. http://www.walgreens.com/store/c/one-natural-solid-shampoo/ID=prod6037623-product#BVRRWidgetID

Hope this helps!

It's basically beef fat/coconut oil soap. I use different kinds of soap on my hair. As long as I do a citric acid rinse and use a leave-in conditioner, it's fine.

It'll probably be just fine. Just have some vinegar or lemon juice or citric acid on hand to make a dilute acid rinse if your hair feels tangly after you rinse it. That's the real trick. Your hair might feel more voluminous after washing with soap too -- I know my husband has commented on this quality when he used shampoo bars.

Oh, yeah--my hair is thicker (as if I needed it) and I shed so much less since I quit the shampoo.
