This product seems lovely, but what do you think; Would it be like simply asking for dryness and breakage? :S

I know! But I've read and watched a lot of reviews about this thing and every single one of them assures that it never get tangled! In fact I keep reading that it makes hair feel silkier and shinier...

if you want silkier/shinier hair, learn how to care for your hair. invest in a good BBB and learn how to do it yourself. limit products & gadgets. protect your locks, don't subject them to a motorized hair torture device.
*I am still thoroughly traumatized from motorized toys getting stuck in my hair and being cut out (on numerous occassions).

Hot appliances are great for making hair silky and shiny at first. They're also addicting --as you get more and more damaged, the more you need to heat style for any kind of shine at all.
Better to let your hair be healthy and its natural texture most of the time, and save the heat for special occasions.

My sister had something like this years ago. I came in one day to find her with her hair totaly tangled and twisted around the brush part and it took us hours and a lot of conditioner and No More Tangles spray to get it undone. Luckily the brush part attached from the machine part. She still ended up losing quite a big chunk of hair in the end because some had gotten pulled out :(
It reminded us both of the time my mom's yorkie decided to snuggle with the ball tipped plastic paddle brush. We had to cut his fur very short to remove it :(
