Hornbeam is a tree, those are wood bristled brushes.

I have a "wood" bristled brush that I love, but it's actually made of bamboo. It's made by Bass and only cost $5. I highly recommend them for anyone who brushes their hair dry, especially those looking for an alternative to traditional "ball-tipped" brushes. It is very gentle and durable.

I have a Widu comb, too, and I have to say that the Bass products IME are better quality for a much lower price. :twocents:
