I bobbed my hair !

After ten years at waist length or longer I finally gave in to my frequent urges to cut and got my husband to lop it all off. It feels fantastic I have to say. I'll still be hanging around for hair care tips and to keep up with all the wonderful variety of people I've met here :)

I have truly been considering lopping off my mop.
My hair is a few inches past APL though. No where near waist.
I want a short bob or A line to get rid of layering, although an A line would involve stacking...but stacking would be much easier to get rid of than my layers I have.

Wow !! I wasn't prepared for all the compliments !! Thank you so much everyone :) It's very strange waking up and getting dressed with no hair :p I feel all boosted up with confidence now.

I certainly intend to stick around - I love this forum. Might also be able to still advise having had long hair for a long time:)

My husband cut it - It isn't quite even, but I don't really want a "do" as such. We're going to wait a couple of weeks and then trim out any uneveness. He is good at doing hair - he does my son's too !

The cut off hair is in a long plait. I'm not sure what to do with it but for now it's been squirrelled away by my hubby along with his waist length hair which he cut off about 4 years ago, and another plait of mine from the last time I had a big cut. Do I think he's wierd for wanting to keep a drawer full of dead hair (and shed skins from a snake he used to have :eek:) - kinda !!

I've had a load of support from facebook friends and really touched at all the kindness here :o Thanks again !
