Hi there, your expert eye is requested lovely LHCers. Washed my hair with neutrogena clarifying shampoo, did not touch, comb or brush it. 3 hours later this is what we have. I am somewhat shocked at just how wavy it is! 1c/2a possibly?

I do have layers growing out which may contribute to the effect. This is probably why I have been fighting frizz for so long!

It feels very soft and not dry, so all the moisture I have been putting in has obviously paid off. Thanks for your help with this

I'd say you're solidly in the two range. I'd put it at around 2b? 2's are a hard range to differentiate.

2a or 2a/2b. You could probably bring the curl out more with some moisture and a leave-in.

Definitely at least a 2a. I'd say leave it as 2a for now and retype when it's a little longer. It's hard to tell exactly how wavy it is because they stop so soon (since it's short).

Definitely not a 1, that's a whole lot of wave! :) I'd go 2b and retype when you've got more length, maybe around APL.

2a/2b I'd say.

At least a 2a.

It will be interesting to see how your waves develop as you grow :)

You are wavy! You're at least a 2a, maybe even a 2b, but we'll wait until it's longer before knowing for sure.

I agree with everyone else, you're definitely in the 2s :)

2 something, and a pretty definite wave so I'm going 2b. I'm seeing hints that it spirals some, but it's short enough that I can't say for sure. A few spirals would make you a 2c. If it chills out a bit as it gets longer, it'd be 2a.

Definitely in the 2's at the moment, and probably at least a 2b. It will be fun to see whether curly techniques make a difference, and how it will change as it gets longer. Sometimes length pulls out curl, sometimes not. Have fun with your lovely waves!!

I'd go with 2a. 2b is a lot more tight in my book (judging from the front pieces).

You are clearly in the 2 range, but I think exactly how wavy your hair is, is something you are going to have to wait to figure out until you have more length.
I'd go with 2a/2b for now.

I'd say a 2 a though I think you may get tighter waves and spirals as it gets longer, but I'd say your a solid a for now!

I'll go with 2B, but I do believe I see the beginning of at least a couple of spirals.

I would guess that with some more moisture you would be at least a 2b. Maybe try some CO washing, moisture treatments or curly girl techniques and see what the results are!

I'd say 2B or 2C. I'd throw away that brush! :D

Thanks very much everyone. Consensus is 2a/b. Looks like I have a whole lot of new things to learn so I can take care of my waves and not look like I have been dragged through a bush backwards! :silly:

I'd keep it at the 2a/2b and retype when you gain length as others have said. :)
