I'm sure this question has been asked, but I'm having difficulty finding it in the search engine.

Where does hip length start? Is it at the top of the hip bones, or at the widest point of the hips (where you would measure for pants if you're female)? I'm past WL now, so I'm just curious where my next goal lies. ;)

Thanks!

I've always accepted it as the top of the hipbones, and I think most people do too. On me, that's roughly where the top of my pants sit. Some people seem to see hip as a sort of range, so that you can be at the top of hip when it hits the top of your hipbones, but at slightly longer lengths it's still considered hip. If it were where you measure for pants, it would be about tailbone (middle of your butt).

I see hip as starting at the top of my hipbones (not that I can see them LOL) and ending at BCL.

Top of the hip bones, so when you lie down and see those bones which stick out, you hair should be at a level with them, easier to locate on slimmer people!

I consider hip length to be at the top of my hips.
