I realize it may be the sixteenth in some of your guys' time zone, but it still is (barely) my two year anniversary since I joined LHC here! :) I forgot to do a 1 year thread last year, so I was looking forward to it today. :p
When I first joined here I had mid-back to waist length hair, and I was mosty focused on improving it's health, rather than gaining length (even though that was an added bonus!) Soooo that means not many length photos exist of me, I just took my fourth one today! :p
That year, I had started my first year as a lifeguard/swim instructor, and thus had fairly chlorinated, dry hair that had many splits. This picture doesn't really show that, but then again, with the weird angle and all that, it doesn't show much period.

I got four damaged inches cut in December of that year (2010) and kept on growing. I started to S&D and CWC, and used a hair mask product to moisturize. Yay improvement! I also started to wear hairsticks.
I got another trim (just 1 inch) in April or 2011, this is a pic of that afterwards.

I haven't gotten a trim since then, and started oiling, bunning and braiding all the time, and overall taking extra good care of my hair, inspired by all the lovely heads here on LHC. I also stopped using the more commercial products. :) Forgoeing a February length shot, here is as (rather dark and blurry) picture from today that shows my hair in it's natural state, without my wannabe curls being combed or brushed out.

The length ends where my fingers are, I think I'm nearly at tailbone, no? That's probably going to change soon, as I'm going to get an inch snipped in a week or so, as I unfortunately haven't been able to keep all splits at bay. :(
Anyway, I wanted to thank this community for helped me along my hair care journey, and teaching my about many other things as well. I've learned a great deal about health, skin care, piercings, tattoos, hairtoys, philosophy, etc. just by reading and albeit rarely participating in the discussion that go on in this forum. Thank you all for helping me learn and grow. You guys are the best! :crush:
Hope you enjoyed my self-absorbed rant! :P
