Waist crept up on me!

Yesterday I straightened my hair for the first time since last year, for a bit of a change for my friends birthday and to see how far my growth had come. I was surprised to see that ive practically hit waist without realising! My hair is quite fine and thin so you can see through the ends more than I would eventually like, but im just brushing that next milestone, yippee! I'd like to reach curly/natural waist by christmas and then maintain for a while to thicken up and gradually trim damage before continuing to hip hopefully by christmas 2013.

I'm really enjoying having my hair straight for once! but hopefully LHC will stop me falling back into the trap of regular heat use, I just really like how predictable my hair is in this state and how it doesn't tend to tangle at all (my hair isn't really tangly usually, but when straight it literally stays totally detangled indefinitly until it gets wet again)

And just to give you some giggles, this is my hair after I blow dried it in preparation for straightening - one good reason curlys don't blow dry...

I have to admit the thing that I really miss about the curls is the lack of body, my hair feels really flat compared to usual

I can tame the fluffiness after blow-drying by doing a series of loose ponytails down my length (called a caterpillar, I think); ever try it?

Yeah I have a major problem putting weight on :(

I'm currently making the most of the straight, well behaved hair by practicing my braids - upside is that the hair aligns better, downside it that it's so sleek and slippery it doesn't like staying where its put!

Congrats on your length. your hair is beautiful Try dehydrated minced onion or dehydrated
chopped onion.. I put two capfuls in my shampoo. It thicked my hair. I read this online. I hope this helps.

I just try not to look at my length, as in I avoid looking at the length in the mirror etc as well as not measuring and wearing it up helps too.
