So....I haven't posted a good hair update for myself in awhile here. My hair has gone through some changes this year - I was at a little past knee length in January, and then I cut back to classic length. I cut back to classic length again in June because of thin ends due to a stress shed. I toyed with the idea of going super short and super curly for awhile, because my regrowth shorter hairs are coming in very coarse and double-helix-y curly, instead of the 2a/b wavy the rest of my length has been for years and years.

Long story short on that, I gave myself the 2 month rule, and decided before the first month was up NOT to cut...so that was the end of that. I did, however, want a change. I've had this same style since the end of high school (almost 15 years now) - very long and pulled back from my face. I just didn't feel attractive with that anymore. So I cut bangs! :)

I just combed down a section in front of my eyes and parted it to the right, then cut from my nose to my jawline on each side. I think I did a pretty good job!

The best news is - they're still long enough to tuck behind my ears if I get annoyed with a lot of sweaty hair on my forehead. (It IS July in Alabama too, after all)

Here is a pic with my length down (It is still a little past classic)

And with my hair in a bun.

Thank you! :D I have a large forehead, and I've always thought I couldn't do bangs because of the cowlick in the middle of my forehead (A dog bit me when I was 2, and left a scar). I think the reason I hated bangs was because of the thick quintessential 80's bangs my mom cut for me as a child. The cowlick made them part in the middle and I was annoyed. ;)

Bang cowlicks are the best! I have a big one right in the middle of my forehead and it makes a side part look swoopy and awesome. Your bangs look very flattering and natural. :)

They LOOK great!!!! Way to go.

Sigh. This, of course, does not help my dilemna of whether or not to get my own bangs that I've been struggling with for two months now - at least!!!

Thank you all for the comments! :cloud9:

I'm still really adoring them. I haven't had any trouble with the heat, because they're long enough to go into a French braid when I start it high enough, they'll still fit behind my ear for the most part, and they look really good pinned back with bobby-pins. (which gives me another excuse to stalk Nightshade's etsy store for the bobbies...) :D

Plus...I got the word "sexy" out of Mr JamieLeigh. I've never heard that one hair-wise from him before. :eyebrows:

They look great, very good job of cutting them. Of course, I see this just as I've pretty much decided to let my own bangs grow out! Oh, well, the two week rule goes into effect starting now. ;)
