Gave in and gave myself Bangs (pics)

I've been conflicted for a month or so now, with the awful need to give myself bangs. I argued with my mom, for she hates it when i wear my hair up because I guess I dont have the face shape for it or something, but liked it when I had bangs before and left them down from updos. So I gave myself some bangs to satisfy myself, and maybe she'll like it too, for all my hair wont be "slicked back away from my face in an Amish updo." in her words. Oh well ;p.

ETA: I cut them into short bangs this morining. my mom actually likes them! Yay! i hope you can see them, i took them off facebook

Oh, I like long bangs like that, as they are versatile. Mine are about the same length (though I cut them accidently).

You look great both ways, but there is definitely something to be said for bangs to soften updos. The way you cut yours is probably my favorite.

your bangs look really good!! I don't have any bangs anymore and I kind of miss them. Usually every time I get a trim I say trim my bangs but my bangs actually grew to the length of my hair this time so now I don't have them anymore! I'm going to see which style I like better for me because now my hair is really going to have no style to it.

I think they're very pretty and they're long enough that they won't drive you crazy. You can pin them back, leave them loose or style them however you like.
