I just joined so most of the LHC lingo is lost on me. I just want to know if I'm being terribly impatient or if my hair really does grow as slowly as it feels. It has taken a year and two months for my hair to grow from just beneath my ear to about 5 and a half inches below my shoulder. Do I need to be more patient or am I doing something wrong? I take 2 omega three, vitaman c, women's multi and a hair, skin and nails supplement every day once a day. :p

I don't think your growth is anything to worry about. On average, hair grows 1/2 inch a month. Some people are slow growers, some faster.
How you care for your hair will determine how fast it grows...and of course everything is determined by your genes.
Generally speaking, diet and exercise are very important. How you maintain your hair will certainly have a great impact.
Healthy, beautiful hair is the result of handling it gently when shampooing.
Keeping it up to protect the ends.
Trimming when necessary.
Airdrying and avoiding hot curlers/hot irons/straighteners/bleach.
There are many ladies here who have beautiful, healthy hair. I'm sure you'll find encouragement and valuable information to assist you in your hair quest.
Happy growing!

Lol, you're impatient! Average growth is 1/2" per month. Guessing roughly, your hair grew at least 8 1/2" in fourteen months, so you're ahead of the game. :D
The thing is, even if your hair grows pretty fast, it's still a waiting game. Supplements may help if your diet is pretty deficient, but otherwise, probably not. The best thing for growing hair is a good diet (good for you all around), and patience. It sounds like you're blessed with good genetic growth, so be happy! :)
