There's another thread somewhere on this forum (simular title) that has some of the most to die for curls ever! I just tried to do a search for it, but I keep getting disconnected from the server. ;( I'll give it a shot tomorrow morning to see if I have better luck, unless one of our fellow LHCers happen to have it saved somewhere?

Sydney Tamiia Poitier's hair makes me swoon. I'm assuming it's real. It looks real, although it can be hard to tell with actresses. Whatever it is, it's jaw dropping. Here are some pictures, if I've figured out how to do this:

If you like fantasy movies or shows, you should watch/rewatch Game of Thrones, Lord of the Rings, or the Princess Bride for long wavy hair inspiration. They're wigs, but they look beautiful. I especially love some of the long hair in Game of Thrones.

My inspiration is my hair a couple months ago :) I am growing it back to that length (like 3 inches below waist) and right now it looks like BSL at the back and APL in the front. Darn shrinkage

One of my close friends has your size curls and grew her hair to the small of her back (while curly), so I know it's definitely possible for at least some people.
Since it's my friend, I don't want to post her picture on some forum, but I'm just saying it's possible to have that hair. It's red too, very unique!

I like this photo. It wasn't really a hair shot, it's actually a cropped version of part of a costume I sewed up. I swear it was waist length though!! I only had a inch or so less growth when I last took the photo so I guess my hair really must of bunched up with the curls there.. as curly hair does :doh:

Actually a lot of Indians have wavy to curly hair. I got mine from the Indian side of my family, and my son has gorgeous 3b curls--very thick, very strong, very Indian. My mom's side (European ancestry) all have pretty straight hair. Unfortunately, many Indian women now straighten their hair (!).

My inspiration to stop chemically straightening my hair was Nadia Esra. I love red hair, and her 2a/2b waves.

Unfortunately, I didn’t know how to take care of my hair and tame it when it wasn’t straight, so I heat straightened it everyday. I thought my hair wasn’t wavy enough for actual waves, but I was so wrong. I was surprised when I found out that my hair was wavier than Nadia’s, and forms spirals if I take care of it and dry it without disturbing the wave pattern. I’ll never have her texture or color, but I’m learning to appreciate my own.
