My coworker reminded me today that I've been keeping my New Year Resolution to wear flowers in my hair. Show us how you do it.

I have a bit of an addiction to flowers. So bear with me. Hopefully it's useful for styles.

Live orchid with water tube hidden in bun-fold:

Live lilly, petals plucked for...a change:

Realistic flowers can be made for cheap by using quality silk flowers from the craft store:

Feather flowers:

Use them to pretty up an updo that didn't go quite to plan:

Doesn't have to be a pretty or elaborate flower either:

And, so you don't think I'm crazy, why I love wearing flowers (real or fake):

Wow, what a lovely new years resolution and a great idea! And I love the daisies! I am going to Hawaii later this year so what a great time to practice!

I've been wanting to make/buy some flowers for my hair :) I used to have some artificial ones that I always wore but they got all dusty.

I am so jealous CurlyCap... your flowers and your hair looks so amazing. Plus your dark hair color really makes the flowers pop and your curls and volume really give them a place to sit nicely.

My hair is straight, so they just kind of sit there all wierd.

Great thread idea! :)

CurlyCap - I love the look of the daisys in your hair! So pretty!

Ishje - those pink flowers in your first pic look so lovely next to your hair colour!

Lovely flowers. Has everyone seen the new floral Bendini clips. I ordered online from Target, as they have not yet arrived in my small town. They are nifty - various colors and a couple rose styles in cream and coral pink. I haven't tried them yet, but I couldn't wait to get them.

I have that issue, too, so I think wearing them in updos is a good option for those of us with straight hair- I would especially think they would look really good in braids- especially something like a 6-strand braid! :3

oooo i love the idea for this thread :)

I love flowers, and my wardrobe is packed full of practically every floral item I've ever come across, tehe. I must make more of an effort to wear them in my hair. I have quite a large silk pale pink flower clip attached to my floppy straw hat, i'll have to try it out in my hair (what it was originally bought for but never seemed to happen)

I'd love to make some little baby's breath pins to tuck into my buns <3 everyone has such lovely flower pictures! In the Fall do you switch over to leaves and other fall type flowers? Or do you rebel and do full on colorful flowers?
