Growth Progress Pics- Chin to almost hip

Unfortunately, I didn't start taking "official" LHC length shots until January, 2011 but the first time I posted my length measurement here at LHC was in September 2010- 24" and just past BSL. With layers, of course! I am now 32" and "hip when wet"/"can I call this hip?"/4 inches from Tailbone length. I've gotten a couple of trims, most recently cutting 2-3 inches off in February. I also bleached the bottom couple inches of my hair a couple of weeks ago. In both pictures with my striped shirt, my thumb is at lower waist or the 6th blue stripe from the bottom.

So even though the pictures are at different angles, the white lines on my shirt are 1" wide, so it looks like I gained a solid 6 inches including my big trim in February over the past 18 months.

Thanks!:D I went to cosmetology school and used to bleach the crap out of my hair 5-6 years ago, so I knew exactly how damaging it was going to be and did it myself. I figured, I have been taking pretty good care of it for awhile, I deserve to have some fun :p. It prevented me from getting a drastic cut and it's only a couple of inches when I cut it off.

Actuallly, I too am amazed by how cool and different those two light inches on the bottom look with the contrast with the dark hair, and I think the V hemline adds to this.

What a unique style. By bleaching, you are only risking the bottom couple of inches.

How does this look in an updo? Not being an updo expert I am curious. But the last couple of inches are tucked away anway, right?

Well, I didn't want a harsh line where I bleached, so I separated the hair into layers and bleached the same amount of hair on each layer. I also did this with my face-framing layers, which are the shortest parts of my hair (barely BSL) and I only bleached the bottom ~ 1 in of those pieces. I also "feathered" the bleach in each section of hair with an applicator brush so it wasnt just a line of bleach.

So, the bottom 1"-2" of my layers are bleached. Therefore, when I twist it into buns it looks like chunky highlights fading into blonde for the bottom 4-4.5" of the twist. In braids, it looks similar but only for the bottom 3-4". So in most buns or braided buns a small amount of blonde is seen.
