A little bit of growth - pics

After annihilating my hair back in Feb with bleach, hair drying and flat ironing qhich led to a chunk of my fringe/bang snapping off, I had to go back to my natural colour and get a pixie cut about 2.5" all over. I have had one small trim since, in May, to get rid of some remainder damage but since I have been coconut oiling, deep conditioning, no heat and generally treating it well. I think I am finally starting to see some progress, albeit small. My fringe has grown back and the back and sides are starting to show signs of growth, but my hair grows excruiatingly slowly :(:

I think/hope my eyes are not decieving me and there is a little bit of noticble growth.

Yes, it looks longer!

At that length, growth is very noticeable. The quickest way to get out through "the awkward phase" is accessories, not cuts. I used to bobby-pin my bangs out of the way and put some leave-in conditioner on the rest to shape it into something resembling a hairstyle... And headbands and kerchiefs are a godsend, too! Good luck!

Thanks for the encouraging replies. I think I examine it too much so I don't tend to see much growth but it's good to hear from others that it's coming along OK :joy:

Just about but my hair is very fine so there is no weight to it. Can't wait for my top layers to grow down and merge so it bulks up a little but it will only be a little :rolleyes:

I'm just twist braiding the front and trying to be patient for now. :)

Thanks for the lovely comments. Although it's really not thick. The back looks quite thick on the pic and I was surprised to see that but I think it's an optical illusion as it certainly doesn't feel thick. But it does feel the healthiest it's been in years so maybe over time it will thicken a little now it's not getting fried on a regular basis.
