I have a long thin face so for years i had a full heavy fringe which i thought recently made my eyes disappear behind my glasses i wanted to grow it into a face framing one to soften the look.

I realised last night it was just long enough now to do those face framing ones that i thought would soften my face i think this is especially important when my hair is up because i look mean and washed out.

I still need to grow the down a bit more but i prefer it i think.

You did a good job. Love your hair color. I say cut even more further down. (I'm a big fan of layers.)

Thanks McKenzie &Jesabel i think it made a big difference and stopped me from trimming more hair or a fringe. . Spirals i was considering doing it much further down so it blends in with my hair but the only problem then is i would lose a fair amount of hair in an updo and i don't really wear it enough to make it worth it.

Love your new side fringe, but then I liked you with a full fringe too.

I think it looks great! I love the way it softens your face. I really need them too, but won't do it. LOL

Very nice, Wavy! It looks good. :)

I keep on contemplating face framing layers on and off, but just can't make up my mind!

Your all going to think this is pretty funny but i had the stupid idea of thinning it out as it didn't blend in to the rest of my hair very well and erm i did it to much and now it looks like this

Yes its back to a fringe but i think it suits me better and this way i can grow it as long as i want and still look nice from the front.

I think it looks great both ways! Wish I had enough hair for a nice fringe :jealous:

I think I prefer you with a full fringe to be honest, it brightens your features up more!

I have a longer face as well, oval shaped. I resisted cutting bangs/fringe for years and finally did when I was just so bored with my hair. A year later, and I still love them. I have also found many good tutorials on how to braid them to the side or pin them back in a really cute way for working out. That is what mainly held me back for so long, I can't stand sweaty hair on my face!
Your bangs/fringe look great!

I'm just seeing this thread for the first time now, but I agree that your full fringe really looks great on you. Beautiful. :)

Gosh, you look pretty. Nice job. Then again I am VERY partial to bangs and face-framing layers. ETA: Oh! I should have scrolled down! The bangs suit you.

I think you look good with "something in the front" like that.

I think it looks very nice! I'm all for face framing hair, yes some styles look better without it, but I think it really lends softness and naturalness to a face

I think the bangs suit you nicely, but the face framing layers also look really great so you could grow out your fringe a bit again if you ever decide to change it up.
