Ok I tried the hair typing thing today, and I thought I was a 3a/3b but I might just be 3a... what do you guys think? The top layer always is less curly then the under layer when my hair is long, when it is short all my hair seems to be much more curly....

p.s. any advice for my frizz, I usually just use a leave in conditoner, but that seems to weight down my hair and it's not as curly, and gel seems to add to the frizz if I don't use a diffuser, which I don't have and I don't use heat on my hair...

3a/3b now but like others have said, when you have the frizz sorted ( my dd has 3b hair so I know how hard frizz taming is!) you may be a 3b/3c
Lovely hair

I think 2c/3a. I have two different textures too and it's confusing. :(

Whatever it is, you're the exact same as me! It falls exactly the same way except for the top, mine is all flat there but I think that's only because it's grown out that way the longer I've grown my hair, though it does curl all up like yours when it's humid. Just not regular.

Literally, I'm looking at your hair now and I can totally see if we swapped, nobody would notice anything changed except for a hair cut and hair dye :P So if you're not a 3a too, then I must have typed wrong!

I'd say 2c/3a, but it's a little hard to tell; I'm kind of basing that on a comparison to my own hair at that length.

If you can tell us your routine, we can help with the frizz issue. It looks like you could use more moisture--maybe CO, or a different leave in?

I'd have said closer to 2c, actually. There are some big loose waves, some tighter waves, but no real ringlets.

Hair typing isn't an exact science anyway. :p

Thanks! My hair is not normally as frizzy ( I added no product, as i was trying to do hair typing, I have more ringlets when I scrunch with leave in and use a wide tooth comb after the shower. My basic routine is I only wash my hair every 3-4 days and I wash the scalp only and condition the rest. Then I use a garnier fructise leave in conditioner I usually clip my hair half up, bun it or twist the sides back with bobby pins

I would say 2c, for now. You might actually be a 3a with a different routine, but for now, there aren't any ringlets.

In the first photo, I definitely see 3a. Some of the other pictures give a 2c impression, but I'm going with 3a.

I wish I could help you with the frizz thing, but as you can see, my hair is pin straight, so I have no advice. I'd look for others with your hair type, and see what their routine is.

Gorgeous hair! :)

your hair as a very similar texture to mine. i'd say 3a/3b but i think as you grow it out it will become 2c since the length will weigh it down.

I see 2c/3a, as you don't have the typical ringlets I'd associated with 3a+.
