Is there a Hairstyle or Haircut or Color you have admired... Even wanted, but know you would NEVER try??
For me, its the Hairstyle Charlize Theron sported in Aeon Flux.
I had a slightly similar A-Line a few years back, but nothing quite that extreme.

https://www.google.com/search?q=charlize+theron+aeon+flux&hl=en&safe=off&prmd=imvnso&tbm=isch&tbo=u&source=univ&sa=X&ei=wgToT66vFMng2gW3yJnZCQ&sqi=2&ved=0CFMQsAQ&biw=1517&bih=725

Ive also always admired Rihannas shorter edgier cut. And I would LOVE to have it... But its just so... Out there. Haha

Now how about you? :D

Anything that requires heat styling on a daily basis is out. I gave up on my blow dryer long before I ever heard about LHC. I will use it for special occasions, but other than that, I have always been a wash and go kind of person.

Haha, nope.

If I like it I've done it.

Everything from a bubblegum pink bungee perm with a cloud of 4b curls to knee length multicoloured dreads.

Why not? :D

I really love David Bowie's Jareth hair in Labyrinth but seriously doubt I'll ever try it.
And I wish I could attach a link or picture, but I just can't figure out how!

Hahaha, the David Bowie, he reminds me of the babe.... the babe with the power...

It was actually glitter and gold Jem and the Mysterons/Holograms that started my love of bonkers hair at about 5 or 6 she has a David Bowie hairdo....

Anything that requires more than half an inch of cutting, I would definitely not do lol. But as for long hairstyles, I love fishtail braids but never have the patience to finish one on myself. They take FOREVER. Sorry, I'm not a cutter hehe

Can get my hair that white, but not without so much damage it will never grow past BSL. *Covet

Ah, Labyrinth, my favourite film. OK, so here's a couple of hairstyles I think are cool, but would NEVER seriously try.

1) Just how beautiful does Natalie Portman look in this picture?

2) Cornrows - I think they would just be too severe on me.

3) Dreadlocks - because I don't like them. Sorry.

I wish so badly that I could have that color. On top of damage though I can't imagine how expensive it would be to maintain since my roots would be so dark.

ETA: I will have to be satisfied with my Vampire Red, which I do truly love.

Natalie Portman is SO versatile!
I have always wanted to try shaving my head... But I dont think I ever will.

If it requires heat styling and/or styling product, I couldn't be bothered with it. If I find an attractive style and find out that it requires one or both of those things, it immediately loses its appeal. I never liked standing in front of the mirror spending ten or more minutes trying to get my hair to sit just right. It's way too tedious.

I am that lazy. :p

ETA: I think I'd like to shave all of my hair off someday and then dye it rainbow when it grows back in. Then maybe then I will try dreads.

The Aeon Flux haircut is seriously cute....But I could never do it. Natalie Portman looks beautiful no matter what.

The one I would never do is that crazy reverse mullet that Kate Gosselin was sporting a couple of years back...yuck!

A pixie a la Audrey Hepburn in Sabrina, Karla Deras' (of fashion blog Karla's Closet) longish pixie... basically short hair.

I don't have the bone structure nor the confidence to pull off such a short style and I have to remind myself to never go back to short hair. Will I always have it tailbone or so length? Probably not, but I really don't look right in short hair.

Also, any color but my natural color.

Ughh, shaving my head is one thing I would never, ever voluntarily do, not in a million years!

Another one for the white-blonde hair here. Though I thought I'd never dye my hair, and here I am with henna for the foreseeable future...

Also, maybe a 1930s permed bob? If I ever had short hair, I'd do something vintage-y like one of these, I think. My face is oval, but my features are too rounded to pull off a lot of modern short hairstyles.

I'll admit to curiosity about having a shaved head. But if ill health forced it on me, I think the novelty would wear off pretty quickly.

The reason I say I would want to, is because I am incredibly curious as to what it would feel like and look like on my face. The day to day living would be SO convenient too!
The reason I wouldnt, is because I am simply not brave enough.
And I have worked so hard on my long hair, I feel it would be a waste.

Not to sound cool. It usually just goes against some hair rules people follow (not cutting, not bleaching, not using heat).

In a world where dying my hair white-blond would cause no damage and didn't cost so much to maintain, I would absolutely have it.

Anything that requires a lot of daily styling. I've tried it, and it did not work out. I'm terrible at styling, and the effort required is something I grow tired of very quickly. I won't say I'll never dye my hair again, but considering the massive shed it brings on and how much I hate the dark length, lighter roots look, it's highly unlikely I will. Bleaching is out of the question.

For ages I wanted a Hime cut: http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Hime_cut

Thankfully I talked myself out of when I realised that since I'm a curly, that would require daily use of straightners and that was just too much effort! (Oddly enough I didn't care about the damage, just how long it would take!)

I want to do it to start from scratch and as a spiritual cleansing ritual. I also think I would find it incredibly liberating. However, it would definitely not suit my face shape and I would probably hate it in a week. It would also not be work-appropriate for me. Therefore I have no intention of doing so.

I can't speak for all women, but that is why I would and DO say 'I would want to do it but never probably will'. I hope that helps.

As for the hairstyles I would never want to have, I don't think I have any. Oh wait; I'm not fond of undercuts, but that's because they would make my fine hair look very thin.

That's one of the haircuts I would love to have, but I think it will make my hair look a lot more thinner:( My hair is quite straight so I think it would look OK, especially on really long hair. So I guess I won't be trying this any time soon.

I mean I know this is a manga character but still! It looks so gorgeous! Definitely one of my long hair idols. :Inlove:

But these are some hair styles I would absolutely NOT try:
Dreadlocks - I absolutely love them...but on somebody else.
http://www.madelinehairdesign.com/wp-content/gallery/dread-locks/dreadlocks.jpg

Side shaved hair - These are so popular right now! I mean everyone has them. And while some styles look kind of boring, some are actually really great. Like today I was just heading to the train station and I saw a girl who had side shaved hair with swirls/spirals(that were modeled into it!) and the rest of her hair was a fiery orange. I just fell in love with it! I wish I took a picture of her hair! ^ ^

I am way too old to say something to be considered "cool":p but shaving ones head is about going against the norm and would be quite liberating, some ladies have no choice than to shave their head and i cannot imagine how upsetting that would be. I have no intention of shaving my head either and hope that I am never placed in a position where I need to, my friend had to due to breast cancer and "ughh!" never came into it, she looked the beautiful person she always has been!

Weirdly enough, I had a dream about doing that to my hair last night. I had to feel it this morning to make sure all my hair was still there. =p

ETA: Oops, I misunderstood the intent of the thread and have decided to delete my last post. Didn't want to offend anyone.

Now, to re-answer the question, I really love long, brightly colored hair. I wish I had the guts to take a beautiful magenta or purple and just dye my entire head. It looks BEAUTIFUL. I just don't think my bosses would be very happy about it. :(

I would probably never again cut my hair shorter than shoulder length. I don't think it suits me very well.
I did know a guy once who really loved his hair. It wasn't super long, but he was a pretty boy and liked his hair a lot. One day, after his grandma had been doing chemo for some time and she began losing all her hair, he decided to shave his head. I also new a girl in high school that got cancer and lost all of her hair. What I thought was amazing was that she had a handful of friends that shaved their heads just so she wouldn't feel alone.
So saying that, I think I would shave my head if (heaven forbid) someone in my family should get cancer again. Just for moral support

I LOVE the colors people here get with henna...from the strawberry blonde shades to dark burgundy. I really like the shine it gives, and whenever I read how it can thicken hair I want to jump on the henna wagon. But I just cannot pull off red hair. And I would be terrified of trying something so permanent. And I do love my blonde hair too:p But if I could I would totally try red.

Dreads. I've known a couple of chicks who could rock the dread and they acctually looked really good. I wouldn't, couldn't, shouldn't... not ever ever ever gonna happen....

Aside from that, and this just just me personally. If a stylest puts a cut on me that requires anymore attention that a wash and go it's a bad haircut. :D

Even if I had the time or the patience to style my hair as Dita Von Teese does, I'm sure it wouldn't come out even a fraction as perfect looking as hers always is.

A part of me would love to have the white blonde hair I had as a child but I'm currently growing out bleach that was at least three shades darker than that and the damage was insane! I'm hoping that when I start to go grey I'll actually go white and it will just look like my hair is getting lighter.
I also love the look of henna but I have a feeling it wouldnt look quite the same on me (my hair is naturally blond with basically no red tones what so ever).
Super long hair a la tangled but I don't think I could handle hair long enough to sit on let alone down to the floor, I fall over quite enough without the extra trip hazard.

I looove curly hair, and am consumed with envy of the curly-haired ladies, many of whom undoubtedly look with longing at my own straight strands. ;) The grass is always greener, and all that.. :p
But the times I had permed hair I always looked like a sheep, so it's not a good look for me. I have learned my lessons there!
I have also learned my lessons about peroxide. That chemical and my hair don't get along.

Hmm I think the only thing I have never tried is a shaved head! I've had short hair... like a boy cut (kinda fun but not very flattering on me imo) I've had a regular bob, an asymmetrical bob, permed bob, permed long hair, long blunt cut hair and what I have now.

I would also have to go with the shaving my head. I think it would be neat to do for once, but I can't see that flying at work very well.

This is how I feel about shaving my head. It would be sort of nice to start from scratch, have 100% healthy, virgin hair and just see what it did. But agreed it would look awful on me, I would hate seeing my face in a mirror for... well a LOOOONG time... and it wouldn't be work appropriate.

I have always said I'll shave my head when I'm ready to quit henna though... I figure I'll be 55-60 by then, and maybe not care so much about how I look (LOL). The truth is... I'm not sure I'll even do it then... I will have to go to a pixie, though because the regrowth from henna will look AWFUL (as my hair will be very gray then haha). So I may wait until I've got a couple of inches regrowth and then get it really short without shaving.

As for other cuts... well I sometimes really like short pixies, and different cuts... but I know how much I'd regret it if I were to cut it off. Same with blonde. It just wrecks my hair too much!

I would love to dye my hair black or bleach it really blonde. Either way is too much upkeep and too harsh for my skin tone :(

I'm at the age where I've pretty much tried every colour and hairstyle, including some pretty high maintenance hairstyles. I've had a lot more hairstyles and colours than I have included in my hair history album, because I didn't get photos of them all. I can't believe the time I used to spend getting my hair to look right.

So now, I would never get any haircut that involved having to spend any time styling it.

Also, I have tried several different short hairstyles over the years, and I know that short hair is not for me. Despite what the experts say, on me, short hair is aging.

I guess you could say that I've done all of the experimenting I'll ever need to do, and it's out of my system. (I think. :ponder:)

Whacky colours are pretty much the only thing I wouldn't do now. I'd love to, but I don't think they'd suit me, and I'm at an age now that that would bother me, a few years ago, I wouldn't have cared!

Shanving my head might be something I have to contemplate in the future, and I'm not against it at all, but only if its neccisary, I'm not going to do it otherwise. Again, I don't think it'll suit me, but if there is little choice, then I'll rock it.

Nothing! I tried tons of things before deciding to grow back long -- wild colours, asymmetry, mohawks, dreads -- and I don't regret a minute of it! But my urge to change that often/much is satisfied (:

I'd never, ever under no circumstance shave my hair for moral support (or anything else). And if (heaven forbid) I'd lose my hair, I'd HATE the fact that someone'd shave their hair for me. It simply makes no sense for me. Thank God, no one has ever had cancer in my family.

As for the topic, hive cut and long hair shaved only on one side are styles that I like but will never try. :)

Short hair. Nevermore!

I've never tried a perm, or a mohawk, or shaved it, or dreads, and I have no desire to do any of those. Colorwise and every length up until tailbone, I've had most, so my hair curiosity is satisfied.

Well, not blonde for sure, because that would look really stupid on me. I don't do heat styling, so that would be out. I also won't do any style that starts with a ponytail--I just have a thing about ponytail damage.

I probably would never do dreads, although I love really nice ones. My sister and her family was visiting this week, so the other day we all went out to breakfast. Our waitress had the most amazing dreads, and I had to squeak out, "Your hair is awesome!" because she was no doubt wondering why I was goggling at her and practically drooling on the table. I do love dreads. I think she liked the compliment, though, because she gave me tons of coffee and usually that restaurant limits you to two cups. :D
