Tailbone pictures please

So I'm not really sure what to do. Stay at hip or grow till tailbone... I was wondering if people with tailbone hair could show me theirs so I could get a general idea.
I wonder if a slight U-cut with thickish straight hair at tailbonelength would be flattering on me, since I'm broad built and short. I'm also scared that tailbonelength hair would be unbalanced on me, since I'm so short (5' 3").

I don't want a deeper u-cut, since I like to do braids. I would like to stick with straight or a slight u-cut. I am getting a nicer u-hemline cut in a week or two, I kind of messed it up this time by self trimming.

So thoughts and pics please! Inspire me ^^

I'm not there yet so I can't help you, but I am hesitating between hip/tailbone/classic for my final goal. I guess I'll figure it out when I get there (and by following this thread).

I just wanted to say that there isn't a huge difference between hip and tailbone, so if hip works for you, I don't think tailbone would be overwhelming even if you aren't tall. If you do grow out and don't like it, you can always cut back to hip.

Your hair looks beautiful and incredibly healthy, by the way. And the thickness! :thud:

With hair as thick and beautiful as yours, I don't think you could look unbalanced regardless of the length. :)

Wow, that is amazing, thud-worthy hair. It looks as healthy at the ends as at the crown. With hair like that you should go for knees.

I'm 5'1 and at tailbone, it doesn't look any different on me than hip length :) I've actually had more compliments on it, and I think it's a really nice length. I say you go for it, and if you dislike it you trim back to hip.

And I haven't uploaded any pics :o when I do I'll post...

just try it, you can always cut back! i personally love tailbone more than hip although its a lot harder to take care of and to keep out of zippers ,pans and everything it can get caught in..
i dont think you are too short either,plus with beautiful hair like that you should at least try it.. i have pics in my album btw

If it's any consolation, Phalaenopsis, if I ever see anybody anywhere with tailbone length hair, I never think "Her hair length makes her look shorter". I always think "Wow, awesome hair!". Body type and height never really come into it, for me.

FWIW, I just mentally extended my goal from hip to TB ;). I don't even care if it's just wispy. But yours is so healthy. If I had your hair, I definitely would go at least for TB, probably classic. LOL.

No pictures, since I'm just at hip myself. I'd grow to TB, if I were you. See what it's like, and if you don't think it suits you (how could it ever not?) then you can always cut back to a shorter length. I don't see what your build or length has got to do with it. If you want your hair TB, just grow it. Madora's pic is very inspiring!

Grow it! If you don't like it, cut back. You'll never know until you do it. I'm at the same stage as you, and at this point I'm planning to grow to classic if I can, just to be able to say I did and see how I feel about it. If I can't keep my ends decent, I'll cut back to tailbone and see how that works.

If you wan't to opt for a slight u-cut, then go for it! Your hair would look gorgeous no matter what hemline you chose. Here's another pic from my first session at the GM salon. It was cut with a very slight u-shape:

Why not try? If it turns out you don't like it you can always trim it back. I'm longer than hip but shorter than TB currently and planning to keep it this length- it's perfect for me. Long enough to do a lot of things with and for me to consider it long, but not unmanageable. Personally I find I look taller at hip-length, but slimmer at tailbone. I'm 5'0" and a very short-waisted rectangle (^(oo)^)v

Yeah Phalaenopsis, I don't think you would look unbalanced at all with tailbone length hair. You look simply gorgeous and would still be so if your hair was longer. I don't think I've ever looked at a longhair either and thought "hmm, hair's too long for that person"...I just get like, "OMG" and try my best to discreetly admire them. :o

First of all, you have gorgeous hair! I think tailbone would look good on you, not overbalanced at all. I'm 5' 2 1/2", and I thought that length was fine on me (not nearly long enough, though). Of course, the fat probably balanced it out some. :p

Your hair is beautiful! My idea would be to go for tailbone, as others say, you can always go back to hip if you don't like it. I'm only about 5'2" -- at least being short means that waist/hip/tailbone/classic is that couple of inches closer! :D

Why not just grow it and see how it looks? You can always trim it back if you don't like it.

I dediced to grow till butt crack length and see how I like it. Apparently I confused TBL and BCL. I'm not going to grow till tailbone, because I never wanted hair that really goes over my buttocks. (I just don't like the feeling, not that I don't find it pretty or anything :))

I have more taper than you, but a similar hair type and my siggie shows me at every possible length, from TB to thigh with varying taper due to on a off hair loss, if you want to take a look? :lol: (long sentence...)

I like tapering and a V cut, it shows off a person's figure better. I guess it's good I feel this way since I have thin hair and will most likely have a tapered V if/when I obtain any length.
