I don't know if any of you follow her on youtube/facebook, but she posted this beautiful braid today. I would LOOOOVE to recreate it, but I am just now getting the french braid down pat. LOL.

I don't know... it looks pretty, and I suppose it must be harmless enough, but the thought of deliberately tying knots in my hair puts me off. :p

Wow, love it! Another great style from LillithMoon :)

Thanks for sharing! I will give this one a try when I get the chance ;)

Pretty, easy, but with my thin hair... *shudders*
I can't even do the headband curl technique without making a huge knot in the process. This would massacre my hair XD
But for you thicker, less tangle-prone haired people out there- this would look great!

This knotted "braid" is why I came over here right now, or rather, THIS version of it (a photo of a much gentler version on longer, thicker hair) that had me drooling: https://fbcdn-sphotos-a.akamaihd.net/hphotos-ak-ash3/557357_141161796011348_445106571_n.jpg

I hope the URL works. Also, someone let me know if this is a posting violation, but since it is a public photo shared on her public Facebook page, I think it is (otherwise, moderator, just delete it)

Eirelin, thank you for sharing that incredible knotted braid! So unusual, so beautiful..but I bet you'd have to be very careful to knot in the same direction every time.

Both braids are amazing and beautiful! :) Can't wait to grow my hair out again so I can try them! ^_^

Is this the same technique only looser? It's amazing and I want it. :)

Just tried this - it was pretty! I does eat up a lot of length quickly and balances fairly well if you do it tightly. It didn't tangle or leave big knots.

Right, she posted that photo on the facebook page, and that was the one I fell in love with. - the one Eirelin posted. I hoped it would be featured in the video, but I guess not.

These really make me wish I wasn't so thumb-fingered.I just can't seem to follow tutorials like this, I get confused and end up with a mess. I wish I could find someone to teach me in person!

That is really stunning! I don't know if I have the ability to focus enough to do that braid !

Love this. Not ready to try is right now though as the hair is already in a lazy topknot. I really enjoy lilith moon's tutorials. My sigpic has a modified version of her flipped up perimeter braid (my hair was little too short). Anyways good luck on the knotted up do. As you get better with your french braids something like this will be super easy for you.

Whoa, apparently knot and braid are some great keywords. Looking for more pictures of that braid led me to this one! Now I'm obsessed with figuring it out.

I've tried knotted styles before. They're pretty, but I have to hold every knot with two bobby pins, or they slip out. Quite a bit of work for thick, slippery hair.

Yes, it is supposed to be the same braid, and that is exactly how I felt about it. I also think it should be less damaging on the longer, thicker hair because it can be kept loose, so rather than actually tying knots, it is more like looping the hair around itself.

When I saw her doing it in the video, it seemed quite different and I had to stare at the photo for a while to be sure it really was the same thing.

I love her videos, but have never been able to successfully recreate them :(

A lot of them are fairly easy, but there are some where I am just sitting there looking at the computer like this:

AND most of the time I would need extensions (for either length or thickness) in order to accomplish the style so it actually looks nice. I don't own extensions, though.

Arya, that looks to me like a really loose herringbone braid (with the sections kind of tugged out after braiding is complete) that is bunned up into a seashell bun.

Gosh, that's so pretty! I tried doing it along with the video but my layers are too short for it to stay in! Bah!!

Lovely!
I think my hair might be too long for this one.
Maybe I'll try and make sure.

LilithMoon has a lot of gorgeous styles, but compared to my hair, hers is like magical velcro. It boggles me how her hair never seems to slip at all.

Just attempted this.
My hair is too greasy at the moment-has no grip at all, but I got this far
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v370/bagginslover/5dec9f86.jpg
I really like it. It's much chunkier in my hair, as mine is thicker than hers (though smaller sections, and skipping the back would compact it). Bobby pins will hold this really well I think. I'll try again on clean hair :)

I think this looks cool, I will probably give it a try this weekend. I'm not sure if my hair is too long or not, but I will report back!

And Arya, I expect to see pictures of your experiment.

Aye, Aye, Captain.

Reporting back, I think it isn't a fishtail. Fishtail looks cool too, but that's not it,. The right side of the fishtail isn't there. WHAT CAN IT BE? Perhaps hair all curled to the right, then sort of, jumbled up and twisted into a seashell bun?

Oooh, I just tried this again and I got most of my hair in! layers are still falling out but I think with a bit more practice and some hairspray, I might make this look somewhat presentable in my hair! xD
