I do once a week, for blowdrying, and I use my flat iron only sometimes.

haven't used heat on my hair ...(no straightener or blow drier) for 2 months and a half. But I know I will use it if a wedding or occasion comes up... Hair looks nice when it is straightened but I know it does a lot of damage

Never ever no way lol sounds bad but it stays up even at parties as my hair can't take heat as well as I know others hair can

hmm. a few weeks ago i used it 4 times in a week (blowdrying), wedding/ dying hair/ not waking up early enough to air dry before work.. needless to say, it was a terrible hair health week. i haven't used a hair dryer more than.. maybe 8 times since november? i feel like it's helped, or that's my imagination wishing it has helped. :D

Haven't used it in like a year :)

June 13th, 2012, 12:42 PM
I stopped using it regularly a year ago... Since then I don't use it at all; only used it once (flat-iron) in November for my grandparents' huge fancy birthday party because my mother likes me to do it for formal occasions, but I fought with her tooth and nail not to do it at Christmas and I won.
I don't intend to use it ever, ever again... :D I mean, I probably will for some reason or other, but I love the way my hair looks naturally and will never use it every week again.

There are extremes. :p

I don't remember when I last used a hair dryer but I use my InStyler or sometimes a curling iron maybe once every other month or so

I haven't in about a year. My hair is prone enough to mechanical damage, without bringing heat damage into the mix. o_<

I flat iron my bags every time a wash my hair. I blow-dry a few times a year, when I'm in a hurry and can't afford the time to air-dry.

lapushka

A blowdryer every 5 to 6 days (used after 15 minute towel dried and partially airdried hair).

Every couple weeks I'll use the hair dryer on the cold setting if my bangs are being especially annoying, after wetting them. I use the straightener on my bangs about as often for the same reason.

Never blow drying or straightening my length again though. I'm embracing my waves :cheese:

Only for special occasions and after haircuts, which comes to 4 - 6 times a year.

I'm looking to cut back, though. I'm going to stop getting blowouts after my haircuts to save money.

ETA: excluding bangs. For those, anything goes.

Once in a great while I'd borrow a blow dryer after I colored and wanted to see the color faster. That's the only time I care about drying fast, after a color. I don't own anything for heat styling, I find that helps. I tossed out my heat styling stuff in the 90's.

Practically never. The only times I ever really use heat on my hair are those few times when it's raelly cold inside and I know I will catch a cold if I let my hair air dry, but that only happens about a maximum of 5 times a year. Otherwise, I let it be.

I never used a blowdryer (my mom was a longhair and she told me never to blow dry). I used to use a curling iron on my bangs quite often though, up until several months ago when I decided to grow my bangs out. I'm glad, cause the difference between my bangs and the rest of my hair attests to how much damage heat can do--my bangs are so dry and tangle prone compared to the rest.

I blow dry a few times a week, but I stopped flat ironing about a year ago. There's about a 1,000% improvement!

June 13th, 2012, 01:12 PM
Never ever.

I only blow dry the top of my head for like a minute on the coldest setting...(I have 4 settings on my dryer, so its pretty cold) once or twice a week after I wash my hair.

Its funny.. in High school when I had hip length hair I never put heat on it, then for a while I was coloring my hair and flat ironing and blow drying (even only once or twice a week with heat, back then I still only washed once or twice a week) and my hair was always needing a trim and never got long..... I wonder why.... duh. :poot:

Now I'm back to the high school mentality... just with hair, though. haha. No heat ever and no coloring.

I wish I never had to use heat on my hair but unfortunately I live up north and when it is winter I am forced to blow dry so I don't catch a cold! But I use lots of oils and heat Protestants while doin so. In summer I let my hair dry on its own and I wear it natural.

I don't plan on using heat at all...I think it's been a few years since I used a hairdryer or flat iron... But I can't say I will never use it. If a big event comes up and I want my hair to look a certain way, and heat is required, then I will :)

I did just use a curling iron to get big curls for my sons wedding a few months ago :D (yay! for the wedding...boo for the heat, but I wanted to look nice)

June 13th, 2012, 02:00 PM
Haven't used it in 3 years, before that I did sporadically (I would curl the ends under for special events). Never did it much, and I've never used a straightener. For a couple years I blowdried, but never used the hot setting because it hurt my head. I don't exclude using heat absolutely, but I'd rather avoid it when possible.

I blow dry 0-5 times in a year. I have never used flat iron. I doubt that it would do anything to my hair..

Alexblue
June 13th, 2012, 02:05 PM
The longer my hair gets the less I blow-dry or flat iron. Last year I would have used both about twice a week - then it became once a week - every other week - and now I haven't used either for months. I think heat was one of the worst things I was doing before but I've learnt to embrace the natural texture of my hair. I'm pretty sure I will give them away after the next big clean.

Soltimus
June 13th, 2012, 02:10 PM
Well, I really try to stay away from using heat styling, but for the past few weeks I think I've ended up blow drying my hair 3 times a week or so simply because I didn't have the time to let it dry by itself. I don't use curling irons etc. because it doesn't seem to have any effect on my hair at all (or maybe it's because I just don't know how, ha ha ha).

I blow dry a couple of times a week, straighten 1-2 times a week. I have really irritatingly wavy hair at above SL and until I can braid it I'll carry on using heat. I use heat protectant sprays and I take care of my hair in every other way...

I used to straighten my hair daily but i've had a ban on straightening the lengths since christmas 2011 (still straighten my blunt, short fringe occasionally), for me I have to do all or nothing so for damage prevention purposes I'm learning to love my curls instead

I NEVER use heat on my hair!

Mesmerise
June 13th, 2012, 03:30 PM
I last straightened my hair with heat on January 30 2011! (Yes, I remember the date, which was significant in other ways...such as getting Rammstein's autographs... but I digress :p).

I almost, ALMOST contemplated doing it a couple of days ago because I had to do a photo shoot... but in the end I did not bow under pressure, and my hair looked sort of okay anyway (I looked AWFUL though lol). Still in the pics my hair actually looks passable, even though I didn't particularly style it (I DID put mousse in it though *gasp*).

I will say, my hair has improved a LOT since I quit the heat. There are now several inches of hair that have never been straightened with heat, and I find that the quality of the hair is better! The lengths that were damaged from heat still tend towards stupidity and frizziness though... so NO MORE HEAT for me! (Oh and I wasn't even a regular hair straightener... I only ever did it for special occasions, but that was enough to mess it up totally!!)

June 13th, 2012, 03:35 PM
I NEVER touch a flat iron anymore....too much damage and curl loss from it....I cringe to think I used to flat iron 2-3 times a DAY. I used a blow drier a few days ago, it was late at night and I was tired, so i had no patience to wait hours for dry hair nor was I in the mood for dripping hair all night...so I used heat, but hated how it looked, it was poofy and floofy and not pretty. Other than that, I try to be heat free, but when i go to Comic Con to meet Holly Marie Combs (squeals!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) all bets are off, blow frying here I come, at least for that one weekend.

I have used the blow fryer once since last September. I virtually never use heat on my hair.

Rarely. When I am in a hurry I use a blow dryer on a cold setting, because other settings burn me. It's a long, boring process.

I don't even own a blow dryer or a flat iron.
Neither were ever a 'good' thing for my type of hair.
I have salon-styled sleek/straight styled maybe 6 times a year.

As a rule i *never* use heat on my hair. The only exception goes for Winter days when it's awfully cold, and i will blow dry my hair, but that is probably twice in a year, maximum.

3-4 times a year, when I get my hair done. I have had a flat iron for 2 years and I've used it maybe 5 times? I'm just not a heat person.

The post-hundred degrees temperature tends to suck out the moisture for four months straight. I never get a chance to dry.

2-3 times a year-that's all my hair can take. I blow dry on cool but follow it up with a curling iron.

I never use heat on my hair. I've even started using only tepid water on it when I shower, at the warmest (I do still do a cold water blast at the end). It's not too bad, when you have a handheld detachable shower head. The last time I flat-ironed it was May of last year, and I've blow dried it maybe ten times in my entire life. :P

RapunzelKat
June 13th, 2012, 04:36 PM
Maybe 10-12 times a year for me, I'd say, though I don't really keep track :p If I need to be somewhere or need to get to bed, I will let it air dry for an hour or two, then finish it up with a warm/cool dryer. Takes 15-20 minutes, depending on how wet my hair is. I can't detangle my hair until it's dry, so sometimes it's necessary to hurry the process along. I also sometimes use the blow dryer to do my Sun-In touch ups (I know, I know, I'm bad :D). I've never noticed any damage, probably because I use lower heat settings and blow dry infrequently.

I also use heat for special occasions, but generally we're talking professional updo with a curling iron, so this is rare. ;)

Using a flat iron on my stick straight hair would be utterly pointless

June 13th, 2012, 04:39 PM
Never, or at least not since this hair has been on my head (6 years or so). I've blow dried my hair a couple times on the cool setting, in that period--once was before a first date, so those were extreme circumstances :P

I think I've used flat irons about 6 times in about three years and that was before LHC

blow frying is something I've never done, just something i endure at the hair dressers. Although to the stylists credit she did ask me if I wanted it drying or not, I consented as it was freaking snowing outside and I would of caught flu with wet hair

Never. I like my hair the way it is, and I'm not willing to risk heat damage anyway.

June 13th, 2012, 05:08 PM
Have stopped using the dryer altogether - used it from january to march x2 a week because of the cold outside and I would get sick otherwise... I do updos every day so on washing days it would mean no drying all day.. Freezing head! But have stopped in the spring - have vowed only to use it if I'm absolutely desperate for dry hair (maybe i'll just wear a hat!) but not for occasions or anything even if it feels nicer I loathe the idea of damage!!

June 13th, 2012, 05:19 PM
I stopped using my blowfryer in March but at the end of May I had a haircut and the hair dresser diffused it on the cold setting, so I'm not sure if that counts or not!

I stopped using constant regular heat since April (hot air brush that made curls while drying - the worst thing ever for hair, hot curling iron, and hot curlers). Now I only have and use hot hair curlers for special occasions. The last time I used the curlers were for Mother's Day (May 13).

frodolaughs
June 13th, 2012, 06:16 PM
Never. I let a towel sop things up while I brush my teeth, then damp bun. In winter I put on a nice, warm hat before I go outside. I've never had a problem with it, and I've been in some pretty cold places. I haven't noticed that I catch colds or the flu any more often than anyone else.

Palla
June 13th, 2012, 06:18 PM
Only on rare, raaaare occasions for most of my hair (the only time in the last six months was when I was in a wedding, and all the bridesmaids had some serious curling iron action happening).

I use a flat iron on my bangs daily, but the rest of my hair is pretty much heat-free for the last three years.

melbournian
June 13th, 2012, 06:29 PM
Whenever I wash my hair I blow dry it, so about twice a week. I won't blow dry if it's warm, or if I'm going to braid/bun/bantu knot it, but I hate having wet hair, and if I don't blow dry it it will seriously take all day to dry naturally. Even if I'm braiding I try and let it dry a bit beforehand, otherwise if I braid it in the morning after only towel drying, it will still be damp inside the next morning.

Even before LHC I didn't blowdry/straighten often. The last time was probably 8m to a yr ago. I'm planning on straightening again soon to see how long my hair is without waves (I'm hoping for more of a solid waist!)

I hadn't blowdried since feb, but in the past week, I've used my drier twice, but only on warm, not hot-warm on mine is cooler than if I sat infront of the fire to dry ;) I didn't use the hurricane speed setting either, so fewer tangles ;)

I haven't used direct heat since feb, and since I've started to henna, I'm scared to even try as I don't want to destroy the beautiful colour I have now.

But ladies....you can't catch a cold, or flu from just being cold or wet! You can get a chill yes, but colds and flu are virus's which you have to come into contact with to contract ;)

I wash my about twice a week and each time I always blow dry my hair. I have blow dried my hair all my life - My hair is very healthy. Although I know it could be in better condition if I didnt blow dry it - I always think whats the point? It looks like **** if i dont blow dry so whats the point ahving healthy hair if it doesnt even look nice? :P

ALthough I reckon because my other routines are so stringent - namely protein treatments etc it kind of balances out.

I also get my hair highlighted not with bleach but colour - hey ho my hair looks good for it and its nearly hip length :P so i dont want the hair gestapo to attack me for it :P

My sister has waist length hair almost and she bleaches the absolute SH** out of it but its still incredibly healthy - i guess it depends on what the individuals hair type is and what it can take.

I rarely use other heat appliances - although maybe twice a year the crimpers? poofs my hair out like a mane haha :P

Actually not entirely true... we have dormant virus' living in our body which can be awakened or something like that in the cold - also our immune system is slowed and weakened making us more suceptible to these virus' - so technically - you can catch a cold from being cold!

I don't use heat at all, I haven't completely since Feb when I got a haircut and she did a wash and blowdry. But now I get a dry cut. I do own a hairdryer, straighteners, 2 sets of curling tongs and hot rollers but do I use them? Nope. I haven't used the tongs/hot rollers in over a year. In this past winter I blowdried my hair occassionally if I was in a rush and didn't want to leave the house with wet hair but that was it. I should really get rid of my hot tools but I haven't got round to it yet. I might give them to a friend. Or keep them for doing other people's hair.

Sometimes everyday, with a couple of days break at the weekend and sometimes never. It depends how I think my hair is feeling or how frizzy it is :)

Generally I'd say never but I've been doing the curly girl method and sometimes I just don't have the time or patience to wait hours until my hair dries before I can scrunch out the crunch. On those occasions I use my blowdryer with diffuser to dry the roots and/or my blowdryer cap to dry it all the way. I've always used my blowdryer on low heat though. I don't understand how people can stand the high setting. That one makes my scalp feel crappy for days.

UpNorth
June 14th, 2012, 04:59 AM
like, once every 3-4 month when my hairdresser blowdries it (on medium so maybe it is not really considered "heat"). I understand why, it not like she can wait three hours for my hair to air dry. Its not hotter than she could blow it straight in my face a couple of inches away, but its warmer than a hot summer breeze :P

boofles
June 14th, 2012, 05:35 AM
I probably blow-dry every day to be honest, but I go through phases where I don't.

I am, unfortunately, addicted to my straighteners, but I have been cutting back and only run them through really quickly and not every day like I used to - making progress :cheese:

I don't use any heat on my hair regularly, I only use the blowdryer in cold winterdays if I'm really in a hurry and have a long way to go. But I tend to have my washes well scheduled so that do not really happen often.

But last weekend my best friend curled my hair with a hot iron curler because she will use it on me befor my wedding this summer. We thougt we need som practise! And that is a really special situation! :)

June 14th, 2012, 08:00 AM
Ive stopped using my straightners, but I still blowdry on a cool and low speed setting.
I just dont have time to let it air dry during the week and it also looks pretty horrible. Very uneven odd looking waves.

So probably twice a week.

When it is cold out I will blowdry my scalp, and maybe the underneath just to keep me from getting sick. If I am in a hurry I will do the same when it is warm, but I never dry it all the way and always oil it first. Irons only for special occasions when my DH askes me to leave it down.

I blow dry maybe 4 times a year, when I wear it down. (I never air dry, if you can believe that!!!) I wear it up the rest of the year, and I put it up wet, and let it dry up (or after I take it down at night, as is sometimes the case. :) I have straight hair, so no straightener; I do own a curling iron I've had for at least 15 years, but I can't even remember the last time I used it. I am currently trying to work up the nerve to throw it out, but I am so sure that the second I do, I'll have a desperate need to suddenly curl my hair!! ;)

Since I moved I have used my straightener probably less than 10 times. In 2 months. :0
This is a step up for me because I had cut back on straightening my length but I would straighten the front because I didn't care about it as much. Now I do though, considering I am trying to grow out that stinkin undercut. The main reason was that I was working and needed to look polished. I wore my hair up almost every day and it looked fine. The other "evil" I have warded off was the hair dryer. I would use it every day but now I haven't used it at all. I am not working though so I can just let it air dry leisurely :)
Haha...reason for not working..my hair is in better condition now!!!Eh just kidding.

xoxophelia

Rarely a blow drier (less than once every other month). I would do so because:
-a job interview
-I need to look professional and for whatever reason my hair is still wet.. I usually schedule around that though.
-those very rare occasions where I want to touch it up to look nice

Still, I don't really do a full blow out and I'm careful about how close the heat is etc.

I blowdry my hair to half dry every time I wash it (every four days). I'm secretly a lot curlier than I've typed myself as, but I get beach hair when I airdry, which is not a good look for me. I'll figure out how to get my wurls to look decent at some point, but not for a while.

June 15th, 2012, 07:38 AM
Nope, I do really *do* heat. Even if it is -10 degrees outside, I will only be out for a minute anyways, I throw it in a bun pop a hat over it and then take it down to let it dry in the car but that is a very rare occurance. Showering in the early evening in the winter really helps out.

I think I would blow dry if I was going to be out in sub zero temperatures for long periods but it is easy enough with proper scheduling to avoid that. (And it isn't like I am taking up skiing anytime soon with the lack of hills around here.)

Last time I did was a few months ago because I was at a hair salon with the usual dim hairdresser not letting me out until she painfully brushed and blew-fried the hell out of my hair...
I'm always afraid to say "NO" to hairdressers while they are holding my hair hostage with torture tools.

I've been working on giving heat up and have noticed a huge improvement in my hair's condition and thickness. I still heat style about once a month, but my goal over the summer is to do it even less. I do flat iron my bangs regularly, but I trim them every month.

I use heat on my hair a couple times a month, it used to be several times per week but I am embracing my natural texture more. My hair is really resilient and I have never had any problems using heat, no split ends or anything, I just don't like to spend the time curling it. I am lazy ;)

Never. I simply don't have the time, patience, or arm strength to hold a blow drier up for an extended period of time. my hair has never held a curl from a curling iron w/out ridiculous amount of product. flat ironing always took me FOREVER to accomplish. I have a set of steam rollers I used once upon a time, but now i just do simple pin curls and let them air dry instead. all my heat things are old... and dusty... and would probably catch fire if I ever tried to use them again. I really should throw them all out.

I have just started getting my fringe blowdried when it gets cut- so this would be once about every 2-3 months. I got its done for the first time yesterday and I said to my fiancee oh my my fringe hair is sooo dry now compared to the rest of my hair- and chicks so this to their hair everyday! He just chuckled.. I can see the damage it does now.. its amazing!

Basically never. I don't own a blow dryer or straightener. I do have a curling iron somewhere that I inherited from a cousin, but I don't think I've ever used it. I've probably had my hair straightened twice in my life, and blow dried perhaps 15 times (only when getting it cut, and not always then). I've probably curled my hair five times. The current hair on my head has never been straightened or curled, only blow dried after hair cuts.

I think I'm a bit of an anomaly. I remember in high school feeling almost guilty about it, like I should learn how to use a blow dryer. Now I'm glad I never bothered.

Actually not entirely true... we have dormant virus' living in our body which can be awakened or something like that in the cold - also our immune system is slowed and weakened making us more suceptible to these virus' - so technically - you can catch a cold from being cold!

Technically-that's a cold you've already caught ;) if you have no cold virus, getting cold wont give you one. You would have had that cold anyway, getting cold might have brought it out faster, but getting cold didn't cause it in the first place.

I just started blowdrying my hair, on warm everyday, after no heat for six months. The blow dryer is the only heat I use and I will never use the straightner again-ever! I believe most of my damage is from the straightner.

I have changed up my hair routine because, truthfully, it was depressing me! The more I took great care of my hair the worst it looked. I currently CWC everyday and blow dry on warm. I use Emu oil on my scalp and macadamia hair repair mask two times a week. I am enjoying my hair again:)

I can say "never".
I stopped using blowdryer 3 years ago when I forgot to take it for a trip and oh my, it turned out that my hair can dry quickly and looks better that after blowdryer+brush session. A year or so before that I quit flat iron.
I visited a salon maybe 3 times since I joined LHC and they did use heat on my hair. Apart from that I may straighten my hair once a year for special occasion.

And I'm quite surprised to find out how many of you use heat tools :D

Never! I'm quite sure that was a big reason why my long hair was always so damaged before. I haven't used my blowdryer or flat iron in months and months...and I finally got rid of them both about a week ago :) It's just easier for me to learn how to deal with my hair the way it is after air-drying. That way I'm not stuck looking awkward after a swim...or a rainstorm...or just a humid day. lol

Yeah, Im quite surprised that I went back to the dryer myself but I was so unhappy with my hair. I tried really hard for six months, very long months, to not use heat at all and it just wasnt working for me. There are people on here who use heat tools even the straightner and their hair is healthy and in good condition. They work very hard at keeping it healthy but using the heat tools works for them and it works for me too. I put my dryer on warm and dont put it right on my hair. Im enjoying my hair again. Which everyone should do;)

Since it is summer, I rarely use heat on my hair. Perhaps a straightener in the front if it is looking wonky. I've found myself getting out of the shower, making the hour drive to work, and when I get there I either do a damp braid or damp top knot (preferred). It's a heck of a lot easier than drying my hair (and waking everyone up in the morning) plus when it dries it looks beautiful. I would never give up my blowdryer, but for now this is what works.

You know what? Don't feel bad. If your hair is happy go for it. If you are going for extreme lengths you might want to cut down on it but many people have gotten to at least tailbone with some heat use. If you start to have issues cut back on heat. Simple. Now carry on enjoying your hair. ;)

Wow I'm surprised many people on here do also but at the same time my sister has classic hair and my mum blow dries her hair because it's heavy and thick and takes over a day to dry plus she has awful scalp problems before when we didn't use the blow driers and now mum uses them on her hair her flaky and itchy scalp is ten times better off as blow drying is essentially wafting away all of the irritating flakes which would make her itch and then it would be a viscous cycle (dandruff and flakes, she itches and gets open wounds, then a fungal infection which takes months to relieve) so what's worse in this case? The blow dryer is a helper here, on the other hand i would have no good excuse to use it!

I used to do it a couple times a year, just to blow my hair dry for a party or something.

Now, I NEVER do. If I need my hair to look like it's blown dry, I towel dry, wait until it's almost dry, then sit in front of a fan and use a wide-toothed comb. It looks almost exactly the same as a blowout on me (my hair's very straight anyway, so the only reason I ever used a hairdryer was to speed things up or to volumize).

I used to straighten daily! I have given up on that habit and haven't touched my flatiron since February. Except to do my mom's/friend's hair. I also do not blowdry. My hair is thick and not very long, but I have a cheap Conair dryer, and it takes me like 30 minutes to be a little damp. So I go to bed with damp, towel dried hair, which probably is a little damaging, but I figure it can't be worse than my old ways, right?

I was using it once every 6-8 weeks, to dry my freshly-washed hair before coloring (with vegetable dye mixed with lots of conditioner, at least!), but I'm going to start giving myself the time to let it air-dry beforehand instead. I'd rather the conditioner sitting on my hair during the coloring have the oportunity to repair the already-there damage instead of brand new "blow-fryer" damage.

I might have to endure a curling iron job in a few months for a wedding. I've been trying desperately to find ways to do curls overnight instead, but they're just not that reliable and I'd hate to wake up to a mess that I can't fix. Its worrying me though; last time I went to this hairdresser for this exact 'do, I had fried hair for a good 3 days after, and the curls didn't even last to the ceremony!

Blow dry on coolest setting after every wash, which currently is every 2-3 days. Wish I could let it dry naturally and let my waves show but I look like I've been dragged through a bush backwards. I blow dry my hair on the lowest heat/cool setting when I wash my hair, which is every day. I'm not sure if I already posted here, but anyway I don't use heat because it doesn't do anything particularly useful for me. I've only ever used blowdryers as far as heat tools, and they don't get my hair dry in any reasonable amount of time so they're not really worth the effort of using. Lately I've been using heat 1-3 times per month on average. It really varies depending on my mood. On days I use heat I air dry then flat iron with one pass per section at mid-high setting and I'm done in 25-30 mins. It's straight until I do my next wash. I personally like to give my hair a variety of looks.... curly, wavy or straight. Since my hair doesn't seem to suffer much from splits, broken ends or above average frizz, I don't feel bad about it.

I am trying to inch away from my ghd and my hairdryer..Lately if I have had a shower late at night I will use my hairdryer with a diffuser set to low and use the cool shot every 2-3 seconds to keep it even cooler. But I am trying to stop doing that as well. My hair just takes so long to dry :(

I still blow dry and straighten if i'm going out or need to look nice... my hair just doesnt do what i want it to do just after air drying

I blowdry on warm once a week, especially in the winter. It's too cold to let my hair air dry. I occasionally do a blowout and then curl with a sock bun, but I wont be doing that for a while now.. I would say I use a flat iron or curling iron once a month.

I flat iron my fringe almost every day. Other than that, no heat on the rest of my hair.

I still haven't used heat since... Like, January or February or something like that.

I use heat tools about twice a year. My hair really hates when I use heat... Splits galore, dry, rough feeling afterwards, etc.

I have not used any heat on my hair at all for many, many years. I use no hairsprays, heat, nothing. I just shampoo, condition, oil, air dry and just bun it or braid it. I do dye sometimes.

Blow drying I only do this if I really really meed to dry my hair. Like last week for a parade. I lost track of time and took a shower 30 mins before I was supposed to stand outside in the cold. My hair looked so ugly and frizzy. And I haven't flat ironed my hair since January 2012. So 9 months and I've only used the blow dryer the one time in a yr and a half
