Hi there!
I know, this is probably the upteenth tutorial to show a French twist. And youtube is quite stuffed with videos how to do it, in many different ways.
However, it seems to be quite difficult to find a tutorial for a French twist on longer hair (youtube "long" hair seems to be somewhere between APL and BSL for the most I've seen). I was specifically asked if I knew of such a tutorial for longer (well, tailbone length) hair, and couldn't find one.
So I just decided to take my cam and shoot some pics of how to do it and share that, maybe it is helpful for some of you, too.
There are various ways to do a French twist. The one I'm showing here is rather easy and works well with thin hair. I have no idea, how this works for rather thick hair, but feel free to share your experience!
ETA: seems to be not suitable for thicker hair!
Let's start:
1. Unfortunately I don't have tailbone length hair. So I used clip-in extensions which look quite unnatural in this pic but that doesn't matter for the hair style I'm doing

2. Gather hair in a low pony

3. Twist hair with fingers inside the loop.

4. Twist even more. Pull hair from the length up to loosen the loop. Don't twist too tight. There needs to be some space to tuck the rest of the hair under.

5. Stuff the tail up and behind the twisted roll.

6. Lay the tail back over one of the fingers inside the loop.

7. Push the tail under the twisted roll.

8. Flip back, push under the twisted roll. Repeat last three steps as long as you have hair left hanging out.

9. Everything is stuffed inside now. Take a hair clip or fork.

10. Secure the loop on top of the twisted hair. Take care to catch the loop of the folded tail also.
