Today I've decided I have to do something with these warm blonde roots, I can't stand looking at them next to my previously dyed black hair which is very faded by now, it's been eight months since any chemical has touched my hair and I'm wondering if I should just touch up with a softer black or a very dark brown, any oppinions? :confused:

IMO I wouldn't do it. In my own personal experience if I just stopped trying to fix my hair, my hair would have been fixed long ago.

What you do depends on your goals, do you want dye-free hair? If not, I would just use a semi-permanent color, it would make you feel better and is less damaging than a permanent color. Also, I dye my hair and want it long, I have no intention of stopping the dye, I don't think virgin hair is necessary for long hair.

@Hollyfire3 Actually, my real goal is just to have waist length hair since I don't care for my natural hair color, so I think you might be right.. thanks so much for your opinion. :D:D
