my hair is currently APL and I keep getting impatient and therefore discouraged by the fact that it's taking so long to grow.

i would eventually like to have hip length hair.

does anyone on here have/knows of anyone with long long dark hair and wouldnt mind posting photos on here? - just to motivate me to keep to it, thats all x

Mine is finally at hip when straightened :D I love it! Hopefully I can grow it long enough to be at hip while it's curly too! Just be consistent with your routine..it will be there before you know it!

I have long dark hair. I do not know about inspiring but I can post a few pictures. I do know however that if I had cut my hair when it was growing out I would have regretted it for having long hair is allot of fun.

Nice! I love all these pics.

I was BSL when I arrived here and I'm TBL now. It went by pretty fast! Life just whizzes by and meanwhile, my hair keeps growing :)

You'll get there promise. But whatever you do, don't cut it--not on a whim or a plan. Because cut hair just means you get to start all over again. I don't know about you; but I really dislike do-overs.

Anyway my siggy pix shows my hair a little longer than it currently is, prior to a trim a while back. I have a full length pix from the back in my hair album. Mid-calf length hair. You'll make it. Just care for it, put it up, and leave it be. Then one day it'll tumble down when you least expect it.

Jadelouise, I dont have dark hair, but in 2009 I used horse shampoo. Added 2 capfuls of olive oil
hair grew from past midback to waist. Hope that helps. Madora, your hair is beautiful. All of you ladies on here, have beautiful hair. I love dark hair. Jadelouise, youcan buy it at wall mart
or certain grocery stores. Also in November 2011, I started wearing my hair up. March 2012
It grew 4 inches to hip.

I don't have tb long hair or dark hair. The only thing I would like to add is, It's understandable to get a lil impatient when we are growing out our hair. I am just past BSL and I seem to have been here like forever!!

Just keep going and you'll get to your goal in no time :)

I'm just past apl & for me it is starting to get easier now. IMO shoulder to apl is the time when I always feel like cutting. This time I just kept it up in a ponytail or braid & try to forget about it. & yeah just keep up looking at pictures for inspiration.

I'm not there yet I'm just below arm pit length I had a set back too. I guess do like I am live with my set back monistat oil wear it up. Maybe that's the best method. Stay away from negative things that will set you back on your hair goal.

Hi! I have dark hair (this photo is almost a year old when I was about hip length; since then, I had a haircut and grew to tailbone).

I would suggest to try to always have fun with your hair, because there are definitely advantages to each length. When I was at APL I remember it was so much easier to manage! I could wear it down a lot and not get too tangled; it would look nice in pictures and stuff.

Now I only take it down to comb it because otherwise it tangles in like 2 minutes :p Also I was able to use hair claws for nice updos; now all my pretty hair claws cannot hold the weight :(
