Hey all!
I know a lot of you either use a satin pillowcase or a silk sleeping cap, but I was wondering whether I could use any time of scarf to protect it at night (acrylic, wool, etc)
Thank you :)

I wouldn't use like, a wool scarf. But if you have a satin scarf that would work well. You need something smooth so it doesn't rough-up your hair when you sleep.

im sure you could i experimented when i was really ill (bed bound)with head scarfs i liked them just didnt have any smooth scarfs big enough at the time. i just googled "jewish head scarf directions" i just happened to like the look of the jewish designs. figured as long as i didnt wear it outside i wasnt offending anyone.

I use a scarf to cover my hair to sleep with. It isn't wool, it's just a nice light, slightly stretching material. Stretching ones are good because they never feel too tight, so are comfortable to sleep in.

Also cotton can dry out hair. I prefer silk or satin pillows but love 40s and 70s headscarf styles.
