View Full Version : I finally hit APL!!

Here it is, weird bun wave and all:

I had half an inch trimmed about 6 weeks ago. The bottom few inches are pretty thin because of my old layers, but I think it looks pretty good (especially considering a year ago it was only about an inch past chin length!). My goal length is BSL, which basically falls at the seam where the straps meet the top of my dress. I hope to be there by the end of the year (or close, anyway!).

Just had to share!!

Keep up the good work! Your hair looks like its getting nice and thick. Are you growing out the layers? My hair is VERY similar to yours, layers and all...I am trying to grow mine out so annoying..:o

I really have no idea what I'm going to do with my layers :-P My shortest ones are at shoulder length. I like layers, so I'm not ruling them out, plus my hair is getting wavier as it grows (it's fairly weighed down with a coney conditioner in this pic. It's 2A, but if it's weighed down and brushed well I can easily get it to look 1b.). Maybe layers might help encourage the wave? I don't know. All I know for sure is that I want to get it to BSL. I'll worry about the layers then!

Your hair looks great! That is where I hope to be soon...I'm not far away but it seems to be taking forever! I hope mine looks as good as yours when I get there.

It looks lovely and congratualtions on reaching apl, the wave looks like a layer, even so id not put your hair as stick straights maybe a 1c

Thank you guys so much :) I'm really excited about it!

Jojo, my hair in this pic is weighed down with some heavy conditioner and brushed out (not to mention having been put up in a bun!). I'm a 1c/2a. I'll have to do a new clarified typing picture soon!
