Hi! I'm sure I was a 1b back when I started my long hair journey, but my hairtype changed a lot while I was tweaking with different routines. I think it belongs to the 2's now, or 1c/2a? What do you think?

Hair was clarified and rinsed with ACV. No conditioner or combing/brushing. I apologize for the condition of the photo, I couldn't get the flash to work

After brushing it changes a little.

Even brushed still looks like 2a to me. So I think you definitely belong to the 2's. The first picture is a bit dark so I'm not sure if it's 2a or something more.

I love how I can't figure out my own hair type but I can look at yours and say with confidence that is 2a. :shrugs: at least now I know I'm definitely not 2a by comparison!

I can't really tell from the first picture, but the second one looks like 2a to me as well :)

2a. :) It's too wavy for category 1. :)

Out of curiosity, what was your routine before (with 1b) and what is it now?

Thank you guys! :)

The routine is pretty much the same, productwise. I only added a sulfur & pine tar shampoo bar to it (darn SD). I was cone-free before I started, as I am now. Only thing that did change is my detangling apparatus and when I detangle. I used to detangle with a paddle brush while my hair was still dripping wet, and brush more in the dring process. Now I detangle with a with toothed comb and leave it like that until its 100% dry, and then brush it. It seems it made a LOT of difference :D

I'm not sure if it is 1c/2a or 2a. Perhaps the loose end of 2a.

These photos are pretty good I think and may help you figure out how your hair looks irl: http://www.naturallycurly.com/hair-types

Swimming against the tide: my first thought for the untouched picture was 2B. It definitely looks 2A after being brushed.

Well the "s" waves tend to get tighter to my ends, but the the hair above my shoulders (or at least chin) have only body wave. Maybe that makes my hair look straighter than it really is, since brushing seems to kill the waves that are close to the ends more.

I'd go 2a/2b personally. :)

If brushing loosens your waves, then I'd say you're a 2a/2b. :)

2a or 2a/2b.
