2 Year Anniversary

I joined LHC in May of 2010! The time goes by so quickly :)

For the first year, I stretched the time between washing my hair and learned some fancy updos. I tried things like monistat and vitamins, but quickly settled into benign neglect. The major thing that changed was I began dying my hair with henna to cover my gray rather than chemical boxed dye.

Now I find that my hair is having trouble gaining length. It also is not looking quite as healthy, so I'm back to trying new things. I've been CO for a few weeks and surprised by how much I like it. I've been rinsing with honey when I wash and sleeping in a satin cap.

My current plan is to try to get to classic and maintain there for a little while as I work on improving health and getting the stray hairs to that length (can definitely see where it's thicker near the top). After that I'll head on towards knee.

Wow, your hair is looking amazing! I can't believe how much growth you've had, it is incredible. I like your idea about getting to classic and maintaining to re-gain health and then power on down to knee from there. If you aren't already, I'd also recommend a weekly or every other week deep conditioning/oil treatment for your hair, I've found those help tremendously for maintaining moisture and aiding in maintaining my hair health. :D Good luck on your continued journey!

"That only LHC could inspire" --So true! lol. I actually have been obsessed with super long hair ever since I saw Crystal Gayle on my grandmother's TV as a small child. :) My goals line up with LHC so well!

Thanks everyone for the compliments and congratulations! ETA: I just measured and it's 11 inches in two years, so pretty close to the half inch per month standard, though a little less. I think this is where growing will get trickier as the ends are now much more exposed to potential damage.
