I wish someone had looked at me years ago, and said "Go buy some spin pins. I don't care that you have bobby pins, and use them quite well, just go do it."

So? What do you use all the time? What's your favorite?

I would also say spin pins. They hold my hair way better than an elastic and are less damaging.

My favorites are Ficcare Maximas :). They always work, even if I have a bad hair day, and I love the different styles.

Small Forks. I love them. They work with everything, hold everything and are not to showy...

Hair sticks. But I also love Goody elastics.

Am a flexi 8 clip fanatic with beak clips a close second.

Wow....I hadn't even heard of spin pins. They're ingenious! I really need to go shopping for hair accessories. *sigh*

The most indespensible ones for me are just plain hairbands. If I don't have them in ponytails for a bun, I'll have them at the end of my braid(s).

Forks and sticks, and spin pins for sleeping.

My beak-clip because I can safely sleep in it without any hair damage. :)

It's a tie between my sock bun or these:

Medium for the pony and large for putting my hair up on top of my head for sleeping.

I have two that I use all the time. The more conventional one is my ketylo stick. The other one is a tassle I made for when I braid my hair at night. That way I get waves all the way down to the bottom.

Either my Ravenscroft moon or my hair stix. :) neither damage my hair. :)

My Ficcares! I have trouble getting the Flexi-8, forks, sticks, spin pins, etc to stay in. But the Ficcares never fail me.

I couldn't live without my Quattro Basic Starlites fork http://www.etsy.com/listing/78081825/quattro-hair-accessories-starlites. It's comfortable enough to sleep in, holds like a rock, durable, waterproof, and goes with anything.

I agree with Mina17. I could not do without my Quattro starlites fork. It just works so well.

Right now, my xs flexi-8 clips. At my current length I can only do half ups and they hold my hair securely all day and they are gorgeous:D Grahtoe Studios micro mini forks come in at a close second place.

#1. Bobby pins...because they are small, light weight, and easy to carry in my purse.
#2. Hair elastics...same reasons.
#3. Snap clips...same reasons.
#4. Bandana (or some kind of scarf) for windy days.

I would like to say it's my 3-prong Jeterfork, but my hair is too short for a lot of styles that I could use it for. So until my hair gets a bit longer, I'm going to have to say spin pins.

My paranda. I have several in different colors. I use them at night so I get waves all the way down, and I use them in the perimeter braid around my sock bun. This allows me to avoid any sort of clip or bobby pin! I really hate bobby pins... they break my hair and give me headaches!

I'm addicted to octopus clips. The only hair toy I use. :) I guess I'm pretty functional.

My small two prong purple heart fork. I used it to put up my bands, all my hair, but my hair into a bun.
