Kind of self-explanatory.

After not using them for a while, I broke out some leftover Dermorganics anti-frizz serum because I wasn't having any luck with different oils. Basically, my hair feels amazing and soft and I think I might just be one of those I-know-they're-not-the-greatest-but-I-just-can't-part-with-them people.

Because I don't use shampoo, I was worried about buildup... but then I started thinking about oil's effect on rubbery things... I douse my head with coconut oil the night before wash days, and I can't tie off my braids with the regular little elastics because the oil eats through them and they snap. I figured it was the same scenario as why you're not supposed to use oil-based lube with condoms.

My question is... is that just latex that's broken down by oil? Would a good dose of oil left on overnight allow just a CO wash to get rid of a -coney serum? Could I potentially go back to using light cones and not have to shampoo or baking soda every time I wash?
