Hiya LCHers!

Today is my one year anniversary at LHC!

When I joined I was growing out bleach damage, and aiming for BSL by my birthday. I'm so close but I won't make it by my birthday next Tuesday :(

I'm currently at the bottom of my shoulder blades, but still about an inch from my bra strap.

(sorry for the flyaways- the weather is really crappy at the moment!

I'm still growing out damage, I've been through co, deep treatments, acv rinces and guess what, my hair prefers just shampoo and conditioner. I still dye with semi permanents as the bottom half of my hair fades to gold because of bleach, and I use heat about once a week.

I'm pretty pleased with my progress though :-)

Congrats on your anniversary and amazing progress! You say you still have damage but your hair looks silky and smooth so great job! My hair also prefers S&C. Everything else just made my hair a limp, heavy mess. Your hair type is very similar to mine and at least I know it's not just me who had epic fails with a lot of the methods used here. Straight hair shows everything....oil, dirt, bad layers, etc. Did you trim along the way? Looks like you got rid of that lower layer. I have one too that's bugging the crap outta me. Considering trimming it off.

Thanks all :-) yes I have had trims every 8-10 weeks as the ends that were damaged split quite easily.

I could have gained much more length without them, but it would be split up to my ears!

I still have layers but not as many :-)

If I were you I might try using a dye with no peroxide as opposed to what you're using if it has even 10 volume peroxide. Just a suggestion. :)
Your hair looks fantastic though!
