6 year anniversary pics

Actually my anniversary was in February 2006 so it's been 6 years and 2 months.

The first year I was here, I just let my hair grow. I also tried many experiments.
The second, third and fourth year, I trimmed or cut my hair a lot. My hair actually grows quite fast and if I hadn't kept trimming all the time, it would have been well past my waist and possibly at classic by now. For a good part of this year, I've been letting it grow and only had a tiny trim.

Things I've tried during my 6+ years at LHC.

Water Only, (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=3412) works extremely well on my hair. I mostly use this method now with the occasional shampoo or conditioner only wash.

Essential oils for hair growth, (http://forums.longhaircommunity.com/showthread.php?t=2001)very good for my hair, had great results. I made my own potion and it works wonders.

The Curly Girl Method. (http://www.amazon.com/Curly-Girl-Handbook-Lorraine-Massey/dp/076115678X) Works well for my hair but I prefer Water Only or Condition Only methods.

I've tried the cones/ no cones routes. Not a terrible difference for me.

I started a collection of beautiful Longlocks Hairsticks. Spent a fortune on those.

My current holy grail is Hollywood Beauty Olive Oil creme hairdress. (http://www.amazon.com/Hollywood-Beauty-Olive-Cream-Hairdress/dp/B001T8OW4M)
I apply it to wet hair after wetting/rinsing or washing. It makes my hair soft, smooth and keeps the curls intact. It's pretty good at managing frizz but no product on earth will manage my frizz completely.

This is a great community with wonderful people in it. We have fantastic moderators and I'm grateful that I am part of this place.

My current goal is waist when curly. That will take me about another year.
It's almost waist now when I pull it straight but for a curly who seldom straightens her hair, that just won't do. :D

I know this is an old thread, sorry to revive this. I just wanted jesse58 to know that I got fabulous results following her potion of mixing essential oils for hair loss and hair growth. I saw results within a week, my shedding has reduced a lot, and the smell of the oil is just delicious, love it. Thank you so much, you are so kind and generous. I bought Chrome Dome oil too, but got it only today. As I am in Canada it was easier to get all separate oils first and blend it according to your way. I found you through the archived forums here on LHC. I was googling about essential oils and a link brought me here. That's how I realized you are still a member. Btw, your hair is absolutely gorgeous!
