Going for the big chop! Need advice asap!!!

So, I'm going for the big chop and I know I want it shorter than chin length but a tad longer than a pixie! I'm hoping for any advice asap since I want to do this on april 11!!! I'm so excited! I've wanted to do this for a long time and I'll finally be back to my natural hair color, or I can color it and just have fun with it for a while! Please, lovely people on LHC, give me some tips and photos for going short and what kind of styles would look good on me!

I hear people always worry about cutting curly hair short. However, I no longer have any fears about that.
I have a friend who just cut her ~3bish curls into a pixie, and it looks really really great. She kept it a little long on top, which she gels and then curls to the side, and then the sides are so short they barely curl. Don't have any really good pictures, but I now know that curly girls can rock the pixie.
There was also a girl in my class two years ago, and she had what looked like 2c/3a curls just about chin length. It looked so cute, I always thought she was really beautiful.

Anyway, that's not really what you're looking for. What I was trying to say, first and foremost: have fun with it, you're going to look awesome! I hope you enjoy your new hair cut. :D

Maybe a bit too short but Karla from Karla's Closet (a blog :P) is growing out her pixie and has curly hair and it's soooooo cute, I envy her!

Your hair is probably more curly, I have no idea how it will look like when it's that short! But I think you could rock a look like that :)

I also agree with a dry cut since it can shrink when dry. Good luck and have fun :)

I vote 1st picture & dry cut - Also make sure your stylist has curly hair experience not all stylists are good with curls!

Thank you all so much for the advice! Normally I wouldn't do something this drastic till after dance but I okay'd it with my 'lord and master', the Yoda of ukrainian dance so to speak. I'm SO excited! Booking apt as soon as I can at work! I love the pictures from the blog as well! Very elegent and cute :)

Thank you all! I got for the big chop in 3 hours!!!! So nervous! I may actually play around with my hair for a bit after I get it cut, have fun styling it and everything :)

I look in the mirror and finally see myself! the stylist was really nice, showed me how it would look when wavy too and it looks great either way! More pictures in my album "Big Chop" :D :cheese:

The stylist was super nice! Cut all the dye out so now it's completely natural. He was gentle, let me keep the pony tail and didn't use much product in my hair at all! Helpful, nice, and I went in and told him, "longer than a pixie, shorter than a bob... as long as I look good of course" I think he did a good job!

I agree! He did do a great job! I put a little bit of mousse in it today and iot dried really straight actually... :s it's too short to curl right now! Haha, I like it though, or my hair type changed again. I can't wait to buy a new pair of scissors and have fun with the up keep. I will post pictures from today after work this evening!
