View Full Version : The flipped lazy wrap bun

We see flipped cinnabuns, but I don't think seen this mentioned or done here, so I thought I would! I love the look of flipped buns and I like to do a flipped lazy wrap sometimes when I've been wearing the bun for a while and it's loosened up. I kind of pull the fork (I always do it with a fork, doubt it'd work with a stick) outwards and upwards, loosening the bun up even more, and then flip the bun up and inside out, just like you do with a flipped cinnabun. Take the fork out, position it in a way that feels like it'll work and then wriggle it back in.

It looks different every time I do it, but this was an especially successful attempt:

Does anyone else do this? I'd love to see yours!

I love flipped buns but I haven't tried the lazy wrap flipped. I will have to give it a go, I love the way it looks!

Awesomely pretty! I'll definitely have to try this, although I'm not positive I have the coordination to do it.

I'm actually wearing a flipped bun right now! :D But just of the regular cinnabun variety. :)

Oh wow, that looks so elegant!

I'm gonna have to try this, but I still have issues getting a standard lazy wrap to hold. :p

That is beautiful! I NEED to get a hair fork now so I can try that bun, but I don't think I'd be able to make mine nearly as smooth looking.

Thank you for posting those pics, I'm now inspired to try something new.

That's really pretty! It's really inspired me to get a hair fork now...

You're so lucky to have blonde hair, the various buns and braids really show off the variation and highlights. I have black hair, and a lot of details get lost. Le sigh.

Your hair looks fantastic! I can't wait until the day I can't do buns! Until then I will be mentally catalogging all the ones I want to try. This is definitely one of them It looks so elegant.

I did it and love it!! It looks so elegant! I like that it looks full and not flat. Thanks so much for sharing. Maybe I'll post a picture tomorrow (if I can get my camera to work). :)

I only just realised this is an ancient thread bumped. I gave it a go on my falling out all day bun anyway. It's not nearly as elegant as OPs :)
