My first braided scarf bun (pictures included!)

Hello everybody! Happy Easter week!

I saw this beautiful scarf for sale when I was in America last month, and have been waiting to try it out. Today I braided it into my bun, and here are pictures of the results. A little wisp of hair escaped the bobby pins on the left side~ I'm probably the only one who notices...anyway, here they are:

You are so pretty! The blue scarf goes very well with your blond hair. I like the bangs, too :) They soften up the harshness of pulled back bunned hair very well. It's making me want to get some bangs now too!

I cut them several years ago, and can't imagine going back to "no fringe!"

Wimsey is a Chiffon (a Chihuahua crossed with a Brussels-Griffon). I got him from Hawaii...

Julya, I have trouble getting the scarf into the braid also, usually the scarf slides away to the floor behind me and the bun/braid is just a regular one. :(

A few of you were wondering how I got the scarf to stay. I pinned the top part of my hair first, to give it some body. Then I put my hair in a low ponytail. I took one end of the scarf and held it in place at the top of my ponytail, then I pinned it with a bobby pin. When I braided my hair, I divided my hair into two even pieces instead of three, using the scarf as the third piece. When I got to the end, I held my braid with a ponytail holder, wrapped it up into a bun, and used two little clips and bobby pins to hold it. Voila!
