I just ask because lately I have been shedding much more than usual. Our weather here has gone from 30 degrees fahrenheit to 90 degrees fahrenheit in one month's span. Is it normal to shed a lot when the weather gets warm this fast? I have also been really stressed but I am stressed a lot and have never shed from it before. Does anyone else shed in warmer weather?

I feel like I had a stylist tell me we do but animals shed fur seasonally, not hair, right?

Oh, I guess that is true! I always forget animals are fur, not hair.....haha. I"m hoping I'm just spring shedding. :)

My hair is always lighter during the summer and heavier during the winter. I tend to notice more shed hairs in the spring/summer, but my hair doesn't get thinner only not so "heavy".

Thankfully I find I always get a good spurt of hair growth every spring and summer.

Maybe this is why I killed the vacuum cleaner!

I shed in the spring, stall during summer, my hair starts to fill up again during late summer and autumn but I don't really gain any length during that time and it grows like a weed in the winter. At least half of my overall yearly growth is done during those three months of winter.

actually fur is hair... it's exactly the same synthesis, only it's shorter and covers the entire body..

I seasonal shed in the fall, and according to posts on LHC so do others. I suppose each human could be different.

I have my heaviest seasonal shed in late spring/early summer (we're pretty cool until then). I generally have another shed in the fall. I'm not sure what will happen this year because we're having another cool, wet spring, so it might be delayed. You're definitely not alone on the heavy spring shed, though.

No, animals have hair. It's called fur if it's especially fluffy.

So far, my most impressive sheds have been in the fall, but not every year.

I think I shed during fall and spring. Even on the Monistat I still shed. Maybe its nature its funny I've never noticed that much about my hair before.

Oh crips!! I hope I don't shed this time of the year again!

I shed this time last year, but don't know if I shed due to my Thyroid or due to natural shedding
