I know! I love that she looks so natural. I was actually shocked. If you see a lot of the Russian girls on Brighton Beach, they look anything BUT natural. She looks like she popped out of a fairytale.

I saw her in the news almost a month ago now where the results of that pageant were announced, I immediately fell in love with her hair and thought to share some pictures of her to all of you long-hair-lovers... How I was wrong, when I stopped myself by thinking that nobody would be interested...

I know, right? It is terrible the perceptions that some people have about long hairs. I don't know what is that causes this mindset. I mean... BSL hair seems to be the cut off and the ideal... It's the length we see most often in the media and associated with modern femininity. Just rediculous... We need more long hairs in the world. Healthy long hairs, might I add. Set people straight. :p

ETA: I was so wrapped up by your post I forgot to respond to the topic. Yes, I think her hair is simply beautiful. She clearly knows how to take care of it, or at least has a team who knows how to take care of that length of hair. Enviable it is.

I love her hair! I love that it looks fluffy... mine is fluffy, too, and I never see pretty women IRL with fluffy hair-- always sleek straight or tight ringlets. I love how natural it looks!

And, I'm no expert at extensions, but I really don't think her hair is extensions. There is a natural taper to it.

And I can't wait til my hair is long enough for people to say, "Ewww, that's old-fashioned! You need to cut it!" :cheese: I'll take that as the greatest compliment. ;)

I don't think she has extensions in.. I can't tell about her, as I don't know her personally, but in Russia it's mostly common for a woman to have her hair at least at SL and extensions are not that popular in use.

As for the young girls, most of them have long hair like WL and longer, then, unfortunately, during their teens the majority of the "longhaired" girls cut their hair short (somewhere around SL). One century ago if a young lady wouldn't had long hair nobody would even marry her. So long hair in Russia nowadays is an old and almost extinct tradition. It's not considered by youngsters as something fashionable and "cool", that's why to feel accepted by others they simply cut it. She obviously didn't.

I wish long hair would become popular around the world... These all short hair styles are just another way to "cut" money from people, because when you have that layered style on your head you need to visit hairdresser every 2 months or so to keep it look nicely.

Seeing this may be just what I needed to continue on my way to longer hair. I was truly wavering as to whether classic or longer is for me.

From the braid tails, she seems to not be a natural curly, or she has straightened her hair to braid it. I would love to know how she got the curls to look so perfect if they are not natural.

And, maybe pageants differ, but I thought one of the ground rules of pageants was not having any surgical alterations, as well as nothing artificial, which I thought would include hair extensions...but I am out-of-date on most things, so I dunno!

I am WAY late to this party since I was gone on vacation, but I just had to chime in on the extensions bit.
Owning two salons and offering several different kinds of extensions for those who desire them - personally not a fan of extensions at all, but that's a whole different story - I feel like an expert enough in this area to say that this beautiful young lady does not have extensions. I googled her and viewed many photos, those hair strands grew from her scalp - not a bit of doubt in my mind.

Many people have assumed I have extensions too, especially when my hair was longer and with my layers, extensions would be much easier to hide. But I promise, it's all mine, every strand :)
