I got mine in Holland & Barrett!
I know some chemists do it too, it's used for severe/pregnancy constipation. :)

Lovely! I'll have a peek in there tomorrow when I'm in town. I hope it isn't too expensive!

I haven't used this for ages, but I remember I had trouble getting it (Boots don't sell it any more apparently)
What I did - I got some from ebay, but then found some much cheaper in the mini supermarket/ convenience store right near my house!

Yeah I went into Boots today and they told me that I wouldn't be able to buy it anywhere anymore! I'll go to H&B at some point. No rush...I have coconut oil left yet!

After going to every Boots in the area, a list of supermarkets and health food stores, I finally found some in a little independant chemist.

ETA: Boots also told me that it was difficult to get hold of and they had no idea if or when they would have any more in stock. Hmmm, I think I'll pop back to that chemist and stock up.

I buy all my oils on vitacost.com. With a referal you get $10 off your 1st purchase, so it was super cheap. I LOVE Castor Oil and Jojoba oil hair masks. I add almond oil in it too.
Here is the link if you are interested in using that site.

Just sign up for an account and they will send the cupon code to your e-mail adress.

If you can't find any in shops you can order online (Amazon, for instance)
I bought a tub of the stuff (with the consistency of petroleum jelly) in a white tub with a green lid for under £3

I bought castor oil for £1.50 in my local Tesco ethnic section, it's in a 200ml glass bottle with a yellow label, it's pure and from Jamaica.

I couldn't find any in any of the supermarkets near us (tesco, sainsburys, Waitrose) or superdrug or boots or anywhere else! My last hope is a few small pharmacies in the next suburb along. I don't really want to buy it online, it seems so expensive for what it should be. Lloyds pharmacy has it listed on their website, but it's listed as needing a prescription. I might try and find my nearest one and see if they stock it. I thought it would be so easy to find! The search continues...

Is it Jamaican black castor oil? If so that is amazingly cheap!
Edit:
I forgot to say i now am finding it really hard to get castor oil. The woman in boots said they stopped selling it because some people abuse it and the independant chemist in Bromley wanted something like a tenner for a big bottle.
It is sold in Indian grocers usually so i'll have to have a look when i next go, i did prefer to get the pharmaceutical grade stuff though.

Thanks for the tip - I'll check my Tesco's ethnic section the next time I'm there.
