Has anyone tried this? I saw that it is supposed to help with frizz and against humidity. Does it really? Currently I am using Dove s and c but when those are gone this could be something to consider. Thanks for any help.

I tried the smoothing creme (or milk?) in this line. My 1a/F/ii hair HATED it! It left some weird sticky film on my hair and killed all the shine.

As for the other products in this line, ie shampoo, conditioner, DT, I cannot say as I have not tried them.

On a positive note, it did smell very nice :)

Thanks for your input. Normally I am not much of a user of hair creams.
Maybe someone who has used the s or c will pipe in on this.

I tried the sleek & shine sheer conditioner. It made my hair feel coated. It took 2 shampoo washes and a couple COs to get it back to feeling normal.

No luck here either. It left my hair feeling like it had serious build up and it weighed it down. I couldn't run my fingers through my strands at all and it took a few washings to get it out.

Major build up here when I used it. My hair looked like I hadn't washed it in a week. It made my hair lifeless.

I use the sleek & shine smoothing cream (I think...it looks like this (http://i30.twenga.com/3/tp/17/92/24851792.png), anyway) and I think it's probably the best hair product on the face of the earth! It makes my hair so soft and shiny.

This was way to heavy for my hair, have you tried Nutragena's smoothing cream? for my that was fantastic for flyaways but not heavy like a serum.

When using cone products I really liked this line of products I got great shine with them. They are not that expensive and you can get sample alot of times from the website. I think it really depends on your hair. The only thing that I found that really helps my hair with frizz is a silcone finishing product like Paul Mitchell's gloss drops or Chi finishing product. My hair is fine so I would apply them to wet hair and my hair would dry frizz free even in humidity. These products make my hair straighter so I dont really use them any more since I usually just air dry curly now. I have found I can sort of get the same results with Camilla Oil added to my gel.

I havn't tried that specific fructis product but I've used others on two other occassions (on holiday, forgot shampoo, picked the only one i recognised) scalp had a VERY unhappy reaction and I'm a happy silicone/SL user

I used to LOVE these when I used cones. I liked the soft curl cream too. When I stopped cones and tried going back I noticed the coated feeling and I don't use any of them anymore. BUT if you use both it would keep the buildup away I would think if you like cones. For frizz, the soft curl creme worked great for me too even when I blew dry straight.

I had a very similar experience.
My hair is virtually straight as an arrow anyway, but it made it lank and completely lifeless and coated.
I learned that I truly do naturally have some body to my hair once I stopped using this stuff. :p

I found this stuff dried my hair out big time. I am currently using John Frieda's brillant brunette collection and WOW! What a difference to my hair! The conditioner is (I think) cone free, and the best I've used out of cone free stuff. Don't quote me on that though as I'm ok using cones.

I also love pantene, and they have a new line of shampoos/conditioners for long hair.

Thanks everybody! I think I will hold off trying that since it looks like alot of people had bad luxk with it.

I like that we can come here and get feedback about something before trying it.

After trying many, for years, with 'cones, without, natural, expensive, cheap, etc etc...... Surprisingly my hair LOVES Herbal Essences Hello! Hydration S & C. It leaves my hair very soft and sleek without being too coated. The 'cones in it do not seem to build up for a long time, but I do bi-weekly ACV quick rinses just for a fresh, clarified start.
I use a light amount of coconut oil & shea butter for a leave-in on damp hair.
hth! :D

I'm a cone head and love Garnier products as well as Dove. Pantene not so much except for their combing cream. Garnier makes my hair EXTREMELY slippy and smooth.

I used to swear by my routine of Head and Shoulders shampoo, Aussie Moist conditioner, Garnier Fructis Long and Strong leave-in, then their sleek and shine serum to take care of any other flyaways I'd have. Then I tried a Dove s&c combination for a bit and my hair suddenly hates my old combo.

The Sleek and Shine serum is still pretty good for when my hair decides it wants to be crunchy and dumb and weird and denty near the ends. A little goes a long way.

The conditioner was a staple when I had straighter/relaxed hair. It left my hair shiny and light. I hated the shampoo though. As a matter of fact, I hate all Garnier shampoos.
