Scarves as hair/head accessories

i seem to have accumulated quite a few scares, i admire them and can't resist but never seem to wear them. I quite like the idea of combining scarves with hair styles but have no idea where to start, the furthest i've got is to fold a small one i have and tie it round a bun like a big fat ribbon. Any sugestions?

I watch hijab tutorials online and modify it so I can cover up most of my hair on a cold day and show off my scarves.

She has a lot of cute styles on her channel. Instead of draping the scarves under my chin, I wrap them around the back of my head. I also show the front of my hair. Since you're not going to covering as much as she is, you might not want to use large scarves.

I like tznius. There are a lot of styles here (http://www.tznius.com/cgi-bin/tying.pl). My favourite is the ribbon, but they are all deceptively simple. I wear them further back than the pictures (so it's at the top of my head or even the crown instead of my hairline), and they look good and stay in just fine.

I also like the site 2peasinapod linked. I used the crown version a lot at work last summer to protect my hair from the sun, twigs etc. I was surprisingly stable and I like how it looks.

I also like to braid skinny scarves into my hair and then make a bun. There is a pic of this in my album. HTH
