I have a picture of me now with long-ish hair, and short hair and circles where I have a cowlick. I'm assuming you have super short hair. If you have super short hair, even with a cowlick, you should be able to achieve the dream hair (picture) that you posted. That's just a pile of mousse and probably hair spray too or some kind of gel that holds the hair UP in an upswept way.

A cowlick could make a unique look or twist on this look.
