So the thing is, I have a hard time waking up in the morning, much less with enough time to actually do my hair in anything fancier than an english braid or cinnabun, so mostly I wear whatever I go to sleep in. I wear a sleep cap, so it isn't too messy, but I can't sleep with any type of a bun (besides which, buns are really hard for me to get comfortable). So, since I love amish braids, I end up wearing them and english braids pretty much all the time, but I need some more hairstyles because it isn't a good idea to wear your hair in the same style all the time.

What I want in a hairstyle:
1. lasts for days (no hair pins or parts that dangle down to rub on my shirt)
2. comfortable to sleep on
3. distributes hair well

AFAIK, the only hairstyles that might fit my criteria are amish braids (which I adore), interlaced braids (which I consider to be practically the same thing as amish braids), and crown braid (which was not comfortable for me). Do any of you know any other styles that might work for me?

How about a lace twisted crown braid? Only uses 2 strands instead of the usual 3 for a crown braid:

Unfortunately, it wasn't the braid style that was a problem with the crown braid, but the size of my braid (which made it feel like I was lying on a length of pipe, no matter which way I laid down), which I don't think would be any better with a lace twisted crown braid.

I love crown lacebraids. If I do a good neat one on damp hair, it can look good for two or three days :) four days if you like the boho ;)
