Need advice buying trimming scissors.

I trim my hair myself, as well as the often S&D. I do feel though it's probably not the best idea as I don't currently have a pair of scissors that are meant for it. I usually use this pair I got in a manicure kit... I'm sure they're meant for cuticles or something. I was planning on buying a pair meant for my hair, and just for my hair. I was some at sally beauty supply around $35 and thought they would do the trick. But is there more to it than that? Where did you get your scissors? :confused:

I second this question. I wanted to find out any recommendations. I read somewhere on here, convex scissors?

I got mine at Sally's and they work just fine

I got some at Sally's as well. I think they were under $20.
