Ahahahaha! Love it.

Yeah, there are times when I have my sleep bun squarely on the top of my head and that's when I tell my roommates, "long hair isn't all glamour, y'know?"

Lol!

No one knows the beauty of people in satin caps, top buns and saran wrap like the LHC!

I laughed out loud at this! And people think we just naturally have amazing hair. I asked my fiance what he thought of me getting a satin sleep bonnet and he said "I will tease you mercilessly about it, but I'm happy you love your hair enough to want to look that ridiculous". Oh, what we do in the name of beauty! :p

Hahahaha!! Nice :D

ETA: ooh, I just thought of a contribution!! Lately I've taken to slipping a nylon stocking over the end of my sleep braid to protect it from the elastic. Yeah... Not so hot :rolling:

Yep. My husband isn't too thrilled with the sexy bonnet so I usually put it on after the lights are out. He understands that it's necessary. Just like he keeps his beard trimmed in a way that I find incredibly sexy. It's all about what makes you happy. I have people who tell me I'm so lucky to have such a beautiful natural color. Or they ask me how long I spend in the salon. I say, nada usually. I do my own color and it's easy. Only I don't tell them it's a bit stinky and mucky. But it's not messy anymore or takes too long. I can apply a fullhead of henna and cleanup within 30 minutes. I put a towel over the bathroom sink, a towel on the floor, I vaseline my hairline, ears and neck. I wear gloves and just slather it on. Oooeeeyy gooeeey and never get any on the floor, walls, or sink. Clean up is soo easy. But it's taken 4 years to work out a routine that works great. I sleep with it on overnight and cowash out the next day.

Oh my...I love this!!! You are super funny...I can so relate when I do my henna or just a regular deep condish with oh I dunno egg and avocado on my head:p at which point I usually have on a green clay mask on my face too haha

ohhh baby... *drool* :p

Hubby teases me non-stop about my sleep caps. He thinks they're silly, ridiculous, and unnecessary. He said the same thing about the satin pillowcases when I started using them years ago, but he's given up teasing me about them. A few more years and he'll give up on the sleep caps, too.

Sleeping cap, oil treatments.....all the epitome of sexy! DF doesn't mind any of it really...the only time he complained was when I did a mayonnaise treatment because he HATES mayo. :) I never did that again.

LOL!! My DH always chuckles at me when I have my hair in rollers, but it's so much better for my hair than blow drying with a round brush.

I have felt attractive with both short and longer hair (although the longest I've had was APL). To me short hair feels fun and spunky and longer hair feels more sexy and romantic. Both are good, but I'm aiming for sexy and romantic now:D

Bahahahaha... Hot hot hot!

I took the rubbish out the other night with a tiny bun covered in purple dye poking out of the top of my henna saran wrap turban.... and the upstairs neighbours were all in the front garden with friends having a beer... they told me it was like a little purple alien bursting out of an egg.

What's not hot about that eh?!

Lol gotta love the saran wrapped head! :inlove:

My DH actually likes my sleeping bonnet. Its red and silk with lace and he says it makes me look cute and its so "me" so theres a win. The rest of my family thinks its rediculous and call me granny.

On a serious note, long hair has improved my confidence. Being able to put my hair up has gone a long ways towards making me feel dressed. Loose hair on me leaves me feeling a little nekkid. Better bare legs and a revealing shirt than loose hair on me.

Haha. Poor husband, I'm all back to my natural color so no saran wrapped dyes or super duper treatments..I've deprived him also of the pleasures of seeing me in sleeping caps...

Wow. My DH has never seen me like that. I always do deep treatments when he's at work. Have I missed a potential way to spice things up? Does he think I'm doing this look for the milkman? Y'all have me worried now...

Here's probably a more normal photo of my monster cat - he's only about 12lbs (5.5kgs) so he's big, but not a gigantic. LOVES his catnip and has woken me up from naps to chew on my hairsticks, so I think he's the opposite of a hair ally!

Oh the joys of trying to cover wet henndigo! One time I lost my shower cap so I had to use like a whole roll of seran wrap, and then couldn't find my cute little silk scarf to tie over so I had to use and old t shirt... of course this is the ONE time I had to make an emergency grocery store run.... the looks I recieved cannot be described.

LOOOL apart from the OP's funny picture. Yes, most definitely!!! I feel noticed now!!! I went out yesterday and I feel as if people look at me differently with long hair compared to when my hair was short. You can't deny that it helps!!!! It's not always an attractive road but once when the goal is reached it's so worth it. ;)
