I've read about it and seen several YT videos on it and it looks so cute and easy (aside from being a little messy hehe) and I keep getting an urge to try it, (thank you bowl of chalk next to my car in the garage LOL) but I wonder how well it really works? And most of all is this damaging? Has anyone here tried it? If you have maybe post pic results if you have them...

:) Have a nice day!

Here is a thread I made about the idea a while ago.

I tried it myself and the colors shows up amazingly, but it faded within about three hours.

I did try it but after the strands dried the chalk started flaking off. I can't wear dark clothes because the specks will show up and I can't wear white clothes either because the colors will smudge off on the white :p so that was the end of my foray into hair chalking

Is that the dry kind of chalk stuff, or the greasy stuff? Would it work on red hair?

The one I tried with was the dry kind, it was labelled pastel chalk in the box or something. My hair is black but certain colors showed on my hair, especially under sunlight. So I guess you could try it with red hair

This is the only vid I've seen on chalking. Looks like fun, but it's kinda messy:
