Hey y'all, I'm going to a formal on Thursday and I am in need of a spot of advice.
I have already decided to wear my hair down, perhaps with a few strands pinned back in a rudimentary half-up. I'm getting my hair done in a salon. I am not afraid of heat.
However, I am unsure whether to do big loose curls, mostly straight with curled ends, some sort of beach waves, or straight with a body wave that is curved ever so slightly at the ends.
This is my dress:

These are some ideas for what I have in mind.
Big wavy curls:

Big wavy curls and Holy volume at the roots, Batman!

The top photo, straight but curled at the ends

Mostly straight, but with texture and curved a bit.

(Can you tell I'm a Pretty Little Liars fan?)
Beach waves, minus the braids

And to give you an idea of how I want my hair pinned back (the blondish picture, not the brunette straight one)

Which of the above do you think would suit my dress the most? Also, I'm strongly considering wearing it straight because I want to show off the length. I am almost at tailbone and it would just be lovely to show off the length as much as possible. But I don't know if it will go with the dress. The dress makes me feel like a wood nymph and I was looking through the Tolkien thread before! It also has a 60s/70s feel, which can mean big waves, or Brigitte Bardot sex kitten hair.
What do you guys think?
